Has anyone had any experience using Strategic to move Fire Lanes tokens to underneath opponents' ships and/or squadrons? Specifically I wonder whether it has been a generally accepted practice at Regionals, or if any opponents or judges objected to you having them lift up a ship or squadron so that you can be a delightfully sneaky jerk and put a Fire Lanes token underneath. Seems perfectly acceptable within the RaW, right?
Moving Fire Lanes tokens underneath ships/squads
Of course you can do this.
Hmm, never thought of this tactic. Juicy.
Yes, in fact moves like this are the basis for my friends "troll list".
Oh yeah, it is fairly "trolly", but absolutely agree that you can do it. I hadn't seen it really discussed in the forums and wanted to make sure there wasn't any sort of disagreement out in the real world.

Definitely acceptable, but I'd just make sure I ask my opponent to move the ship rather than doing it myself.
Even better...move a token under an opponent's squadron. And then engage it...turn after turn - but don't kill it!) ![]()
(just remember to kill Intel beforehand).
Yep, don't do as I did and move the token underneath a squad then kill it in the same turn, because I forgot.
Idiot.
Pretty much the ultimate in **** move technology... Probably why no one has selected fire lanes on my double strategic list.
Ruled as written there is no question: moving a token underneath a ship or squadron is entirely legal.
That said, this is the opposite of many other "move item" rules of the game, and could be errata'd in a future FAQ.
