Tournament Premier Play - Upgrade Card Question

By whiteferret76, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

For tournament premier play (Regionals/Nationals etc...)

Is it required to have a copy of an upgrade card for every instance that it is used or as long as one version of the upgrade card is available for the list that is enough? Specifically towards upgrade cards that do not get exhausted.

Nope. You have to have every single upgrade card. The only cards that you only need one of are the generic squadron cards I believe.

For tournaments, our group usually gets together before hand and spreads the upgrade card wealth.

It is absolutely required.

If you show up to a premier event and can't muster the list you've handed in...you will be show the door.

Just adding my voice that you absolutely need one of every card no matter what. Anything less than that and you will be ejected from the tournament. This is the case for even lower-key local tournaments unless the TO specifically makes an exception (which in my experience is rare). As CaribbeanNinja noted, friends are a great source of additional upgrade cards prior to an event like that, as they'll likely have some extras lying around you can borrow.

When in doubt, there's always eBay if you need more upgrade cards.

Seems pretty lame that if you need multiple copies of Rapid launch bays you end up buying multiple Pheonix One kits.

Yeah. The Pelta was a "one for each" for my group for now. That lets us have a few RLBs if someone wants to spam them.

The Arquitens on the other hand... I think we each got two. :)

It's called their business model.

Also, you can make a list with just 1.

If you must run multiple, borrow from someone.
