Rebel Help

Hi Guys

Needing a bit of advice.

I currently own both Starter Sets, The Heroes of Resistance, An A Wing and the T 70.

I'm wanting to buy a couple of expansions that will help improve both ships and the gear options.

Which ones would you suggest? and Why?

Was personally tempted with Sabine and a Y Wing.

Sabine's TIE is great, but you don't have enough bombers to fully benefit from it at this point.

I think the ARC-170 is one of the most versatile ships the Rebels have. You can make it do so many different things.

If you want another big ship, The Ghost is undeniably fun to fly and comes with good crew members and upgrades.

The K-Wing is becoming essential as well because of bombs and TLTs. It's a beast.

If you like flying the A-Wing I recommend getting Rebel Aces with comes with some good upgrades for it.

If you're interested in the Y-Wing you might have to look at getting Most Wanted along with it.

Based on what you have, I would prioritize like this:

  1. Arc-170
  2. K-Wing
  3. Y-Wing & Most Wanted
  4. Ghost (if you want a big ship)
  5. Rebel Aces
  6. Sabine's TIE

What do you currently fly, what do you like about it and at what level do you want to play (just friends, local store gathers, competitive tournaments?)

I'm a fairly new (since October) Rebel-only player who mostly plays with one friend with very occasional toes dipped into the local scene. I own at least one of every Rebel expansion aside from the Tantive, and honestly...I wish I'd stopped buying a long time ago. What you already own can field a pretty good Rey/Poe list, plus you have enough other ships to give you some list-building diversity. To make any optimal list, it'd take a good half a dozen more purchases.

Without knowing how you want to approach the game, I'd say Ghost and Sabine's TIE. Why?...because Rebels!

Rebel Aces also gives you access to some nifty B-wing pilots. Keyan Farlander with his ability to shoot stress tokens and Nera Dantels with her turreted torpedoes may not be meta-topping but they are quite good fun. ARC-170 and K-Wing are both very good too.

I know you asked for Rebels but I thought I would make a few suggestions for the Imperials too since you have a pretty blank canvas. Imperial Veterans plus a Tie Defender would be a great investment, as would the Tie/FO expansion pack. Lists with 2 or 3 /x7 Defenders are very strong at the moment. If you want to use the basic Ties from the core set, I came up with Vessery + mini-swarm idea a few months ago that worked pretty well.

12 Accademy Tie (12)

15 Epsilon Squadron Pilot (15)

For the cards and the ships you get in return, the K-wing, then the Ghost and Arc. K-wing gets you Miranda (best rebel pilot currently), two TLT (which makes running y-wings worth while), conner net, and plasma torps. The Ghost nets you two ships, an incredible amount of crew, a bunch of bombs, and the EPT Predator. Go with the K wing and the Ghost. It will make all the stuff you already have way better. I would also consider going for the YT-2400. Lone Wolf, Heavy Laser Cannon, Gunner and Countermeasures is a pretty solid set of cards.

I've only had a handful of games and i'm hooked.

Think i would like to play regionals as i've picked up the grasp pretty well.

Been researching the hell out of it on forums and you tube.

I've generally been playing Poe and Rey.

Think i'll go for the Arc and Sabine, maybe push the boat out and get a y wing as well
