Jendon and shuttle questions

By thanosazlin, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

so tonight in our CC game, my opponent had 2 shuttles 1 of them was Jendon. also he had 2 flotilla's with expanded hanger bay , with other ships and squads. so are the steps below legal?

1. Flotilla reveals a squad command dial and has expanded hanger bays so can activate 3 squads.

2. Flotilla uses 1 of the 3 squad activations to activate the Jendon's Shuttle doing so using Relay on the Shuttle (non-Jendon)

3. Move's Jendon into a grand position and shoots and kills a squad

4. Flotilla then uses it's 2nd and 3rd squadron activation using Relay from Jendon's Shuttle to activate 2 other squads to move/attack/kill some squads.

so it was a combo using jendon to move and kill a squad and at the same time position Jendon to be able to activate 2 other squads, which otherwise would not have been able to activate as they were out of range of the non-jenon shuttle. this seems very very cheesy but yet i couldn't find any thing to dispute it, just wanted forum feedback? thanks

Sounds legit. When you activate squadrons with a squadron command you finish activating one before starting the next, so Jendon activates first, moves, then the second and third squadron activation are relayed from his new position

Cheesy? Perhaps. Legal? Yes.

It is perfectly legal.

Each shuttle can only activate as many squadrons as the relay value is. But you can do it before or after the movement. And you can use multiple relays from different squadrons with one squadron command. As long as they are in range to the relay when you activate them.

Can you elaborate on

And you can use multiple relays from different squadrons with one squadron command.

i thought if u had 1 squad cmd you could chose 1 shuttle with relay and choose 1 squad within that shuttles relay range , sorry just not following what u said :) thx

Think of Relay 1 as:

"Up to 1 of your current Squadron activations can be through this."

So if you ahve 3 VCXs, you ahve 3 things going "Up to 1 of your current Squadron Activations can be through this."

So if you have 3 Activations, you can put 1 through 1 (up to 1)... 1 through #2 (up to 1), and 1 through #3 (up to 1).

There is no "Once per turn" or "Once per activation" limit on using Relay.
