Im new to the game and it's impossible to find a K wing for under $45 and they are out of stock almost everywhere. Anyone know why? Did FFG stop making them?
Where are all the K wings!
My FLGS operator said that KWings and YWings were basically out of stock at the distributor level.
They are the powerhouse for the rebels at the moment so everyone is snatching them up. Also, TLT is back, which also explains the Y-wing shortage, so people needed to stock up.
They are being reprinted at the moment. You will just have to wait for their return.
K-wings have had 2 runs already and both sold out pretty quickly. It is the only place to get the Twin Laser Turret upgrade card which is really powerful and is used by both Rebels and Scum.

They may have sold out quickly in some places but they languished on shelves in others. I got the two I own last Summer from the Barnes & Noble clearance and they had lasted long enough to hit the 50% off point. For a while I didn't think I needed more than 2 but now I'm thinking about buying the one at my closest game store that had probably been there since it first came out.
It looks like my local Barnes and Nobles has them. I'm wondering if I should buy what they've got an take them to the System Open and sell them there.
People probably clear out their LGS but don't think to look at more general shops that might also carry X-wing.
i need more K wings. one just doesn't seem to cut it (unless its Miranda, man i love her!!) but i love Sabine and Bombs so yeah!
i think they are in reprint at the moment as are the Y wings (which i also want more of!!)

Why is this? I know they dropped out of the meta but I wasn't quite clear exactly why. Now people are saying they're back and I'm not sure why what happened either!
So hard to read the meta sometimes.

Deadeye got nerfed, killing the triple/double Uboat lists. They could basically take out one TLT Y-wing per round. So if you ran a TLT Ywing it was basically wasted points, or you started using PS4 and get one attack before it got destroyed.

To top it off, even after firing torpedoes, the 2 attack dice turret on the Jumpmaster does a decent enough job of hitting the Y-Wings. The barrel-roll on the Jumpmaster also made it fairly easy to get into range one of a TLT Y-Wing to prevent the TLTs from being able to focus fire.
The FAQing of U-Boats made TLT-spam viable again and /x7 Defenders gave them a new target. Defenders are tough but without Autothrusters, massed TLT shots will burn through their token stacks quite quickly and start putting damage on them. Also their 3 dice primaries will take a few turns to chew through a Y-wing. They won't kill 1 per turn unless they roll very well and Y-wing fluffs its green rolls.
The return of TLTs will stop Defenders overrunning the meta and give people reasons to field aces that can take Autothrusters (we might even see Soontir dipping his toe in the water again
). TLTs are also good vs the large ships that seem to be dominating the meta again. In short, Thug life is back.
I've bought 3 at B&N around my area in the past month and a half. It's hit or miss and just checking back at different locations helped me find them.
Just found an K-Wing at Barnes and Noble on the clearance rack for $10. Not sure if I should keep it or sell it on eBay. It should fetch a fair price BNIB on eBay.
