Famous armorer for Mandalorian armor

By Seam, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hello!

I did a search if a famous or not so famous or infamous armorer for mandalorian armor exists. Unfortunately me research was not successful. Does any of the forum goers know of one, or do I have to make one up? (After watching Rebels Season 2 one could say Clan Wren has/had some/one.)

Thanks for any help!

Pre Vizsla was certainly famous. Sabine Wren is getting slowly there. Boba Fett became definitely infamous.

Mandalorian armor is crafted by yourself, with the help of your clan. Stated actualy by Sabine in Season two even and reintroducing this from legends into canon. So I really doubt that there are many mando in the profession of selling armor, especially not Mando Armor.

Its not about selling, its about making it.

I can't think of any off the top of my head; Mandolorian typically make their own armour and thus their personal armour would be in keeping with their ability to maintain it. However I can see quartermasters/mentors/whatever being involved with the crafting process. Maybe they processed more cultural significance back in the day, when Beskar was more frequently used and true mandolorians required a master smith of which to sort it, though I imagine those people don't come close to the craftsmanship of the golden age.

Maybe invent something like a master smith or something that has inherited family traditions, a long succession of crafter that specialise in artisan crafting of the compoments required to make the perfect shell.

Making it seems to be personal act, not one which involves some especially skilled 3rd party, but one which involves some help from family, friends and clan. So a clan might be famous for his especially well crafted armors or an individual for one specific well crafted single armor, but no individual for a multitudes of armors.

At least that is what I am getting out of the current lore. Now I try to stay away from Traviss, so legends might be rather different and with more clear answers. I would not know.

Our group's Mandalorian wanted some awesome armor made for him and my GM ended up making up an NPC that was hiding out. My character is the crafter of the group, and he went with the Mando on a short quest to find the guy. The armorsmith taught us both how to craft the armor and the secrets of heating beskar properly. We were awarded the Augmentative Armor schematic from Keeping the Peace, which allowed us to craft up some pretty killer armor.

I know it doesn't directly answer your question, but maybe it helps your game figure out a similar solution.
