X-Wing Vassal module v6.4.0 is now out with 1-click Squad AutoSpawn

I cannot wait to try this! I have so many squads saved in all the different versions over the years (you never could be certain what would work beyond an update, and what wouldn't). This is going to make things so much easier. Good work, all of you!

I hear you. I feel like YASB's list collection is unweildy to browse when you reach a certain quantity. Voidstate can chug if you start having hundreds of them (one of my local players has that problem). You could always store them up in a simple .txt file on your computer and summon them at will. It will completely speed up squad testing in many directions and make me enjoy what a new wave has to offer much more.

When it spawns your tokens for you, it forgets the stress token.

use shift-S on your ship like PRO EL337 x-wing players do

Love it. WAY easier to get into a game with a new list when you don't have to drag all the cards out manually and arrange them. Used it to test out my triple bumpmaster list I dreamt up today. Auto-spawn worked perfect, and the list was lots of fun, so win win :)

Then why does IT spawn focus/evade tokens?

Because it's much easier to toggle Stress with Shift+S and Ctrl+Shift+S than it is to cycle through all the actions, especially when VASSAL is lagging like a *****.

This used to be one huge hurdle for newer Vassalers to overcome! What an amazing update!

So I realized obstacles don't spawn with your lists. What's the correct way to include obstacles now so your opponent doesn't think you're adding them on a whim so to speak?

I'd suggest still saving your squads as normal. That's what I'm doing.

Also, condition tokens do not spawn with the condition card. I didnt even realize the condition tokens were in till my opponent found it for me.

click on a condition card and spawn its token with CTRL-T.

Also is there a way for the correct "skins" of ships to load with your list?

For example I know there's a mando merc skin for the firespray, but when I loaded it up it used the kath skin.

It can be arranged in future updates, but consider our choices:

-test out all 250+ pilots and 300+ upgrades, take 1 extra week to finalize all the tweaks and bug fixing in the XWS format

-release now, accept that not all is perfect on the first iteration

Yes not trying to sound demanding. But now that you know it works I'm assuming something like that should be easy to implement. But I could be wrong.

Seems like it would need to have a standard that gets coordinated through the Squad Builder sites as an added value to each ship. Each ship gets the default skin, but with a dropdown for changing it in Vassal play. The Importer would then just pick the correct ship graphic based on the chosen value.
