OMFG!!!! +50000.
You and your team are gods. This just made VASSAL go from obscure and hard to get into to easy to pick up, with lots of room to master (I am guilty of still not using manouver shortcuts...). BUilding and importing squadrons has always been the greatest barrier I felt.
All the yaaaaas for this. One of the things that prevents me from experimenting as much as I might on Vassal is how fiddly it is to set up new squads. Great stuff!
Wow. So much like.
Amazing stuff, I'm looking forwards to giving it a try this evening! ![]()
I've been meaning to get on Vassal to play X-Wing at some point. It seems now it is as good of a time as ever.

I don't think I am exaggerating when I say that I spent an hour yesterday morning setting up 4 or 5 squads for the Vassal League and the next RXT tourney.
Should have waited one more day. Can't wait to try it.
Anyone have the tip jar link handy? Mu0n deserves more than just an internet cookie.
Oh. my. sweet. Jesus...
Wow!
Great work. I'm really impressed.

Fantastic work guys!
Even for experienced vassal users, the ability to spawn a squad quickly will improve the UX by quite a bit. Just last night I was thinking of testing out that triple x-wing list that is doing well at regionals, but didnt feel like building the squad.
Thanks, . Is there a bug for the new version of Vassal?
This is really great, I have squads to test but dont want to go through the trouble of creating them for a single game to test them.

Click on the link and everything's there as usual.
May actually give Vassal a try now.

I downloaded the newest version and everytime I run I get a Vassal Bug that pops up and it fails to run.
Posted the fix in my other thread. But here it is again from the Vassal Support Team:
Ok. They just got back to me. If you have an Earlier version of Vassal loaded at all (Even if you closed it down), before downloading and running the current version. You will get the bug. So before up grading to the newest version of Vassal. exe. Reboot your machine. If you already have the bug, Remove the current version and reboot, then reinstall.

Good to know, it's the first I hear of this problem. You mean to say you had Vassal 3.2.16 instead of the latest 3.2.17?
yep. Correct? Vassal 3.2.16 was loaded earlier this morning and even though I closed it down, it still remains in memory. 3.2.17 wouldn't work with it until I rebooted and cleared memory.
Mu0n, you and your team are gods. Seems time to me to get a look at that jar.
Huge! Incredible work, guys! This saves so much time!
Thanks everyone! There is a lot of interesting software involved in getting this to work, and it was a fun exercise to see it all come together so quickly. Volunteer open source FTW!

Worked fine first time for me.
