As the title, what is the highest amount of experience that a single character you have played (or GMed for) has reached?
My current campaign is coming up on 600 xp, but is ending soon and could stop at around 700 xp. Has anyone seen characters at or above 1000 xp? If so, what was it like to play those characters?
General Poll: Highest Reached XP?
In my campaing the characters have 500 - 550 XP, and the game still going on. The characters is not powerful, but skilled in your specialized areas. For example, the Pilot is very good when piloting ships (have many talents to this), but weak when firing a Blaster.
I see in other post GMs with 1000 XP or 1500 XP in your games.
Our current group is 1425 and not planning on stopping yet.
As for what it's like? Well, out group decided to branch out to maximize growth and the like. I think the fewest specs anyone has is 5 and no one has gone for a Sig Ability yet, nor has anyone completely filled out a spec yet (though 1 is like 60 away I think).
As for GMing for the group, it has had very few bumps. They are still challenged by stormtroopers, nearly got whooped by an assassin droid (just 1) and are about to deal with their first inquisitor (hopefully). Our players play their characters smartly. If they come across too many troopers or the like they take another path, even though they could probably take them. Helps to have good players.
It'd be interesting to see where the XP went, too. Talents, skills, or Force powers?
My players are a little over a year in, with about 750XP each, and combat is just starting to become too swingy for my tastes. However, social/exploration/puzzle encounters are every bit as tense and exciting as in session 1.
I always assume we don't count the starting XP in this, correct me if I'm wrong.
I should preface that my groups play on a monthly basis & there have been some months that have been skipped in the past. I started with 15xp a session, an extra 5xp for Obligation focused sessions & I've been increasing the base amount by 5xp at every 150xp earned. The first year was a campaign where I apparently misjudged how long the campaign would take and was pretty stingy with xp (35 per act of the campaign, which would take months, it was a good learning experience for me & the players as we're almost all new to RPG's) but ever since then I've been dealing out around the proper amount.
210xp for a group that has been playing since October 2015, the first group I began GMing.
Runner up is 180xp for the group that's playing today & started November 2015.
The other 3 groups are behind that.
I still find it easy to challenge the group with 210xp... Just recently 3 of them were downed by a single Thermal Detonator, causing one to lose their arm and another to lose his sight. It was the first time I really used one & boy was it brutal.

In 8 sessions of about 4-6 hours each, I've given away 170 XP in my current campaign. I'm a pretty generous GM when it comes to XP, but we do get a lot done each session so it usually feels justified.

That's an average of 21.25xp a session and is a fairly normal amount, as the rulebooks suggest 15-20xp a session.
I started running a game for my young son in October 2016, and have awarded 270xp, as follows:
- beginner set/ screen adventures: recommended awards
- normal adventure session (~1.5 hours for my 6yo): 15xp
- mini-adventure (we have many < 1/2 hour sessions): 5xp
He started as a Force-Sensitive Emergent, Ace Pilot. He has subsequently developed his Force Powers (Enhance, Move), and upon obtaining a training lightsaber, he informed me of his desire to "fight like Yoda" (Ataru Striker).
I have house-ruled that non-stacking 5xp talents at the start of each tree may be purchased at-cost, as appropriate (I let him acquire the Stalker talent, following a successful "sneaky" mission).
At roughly 1300 xp, but the campaign is nearly over. Stormtroopers are still a big threat and ship combat is horribly bad for us.
1100 earned experience and we have done several parallel universe one offs where they were 2000 earned experience.
It is a lot of fun.
500-600xp and like Shadowninja they seem to be skilled in specialised areas. For instance, they are just awful at social encounters, just absolute awful. Last session, they had to get past a guard, this was the guard right at the entrance to the place they had to infiltrate, he was step 1, and all they had to do was bluff their way in, difficulty 2 purple. It took all five of them an attempt each (each one playing on the bluff from the one before, the adventure said that the guard would only alert if they also got two setback, they were pulling out datapads shouting about how "they got the wrong day again" and "Hang on let me get my manager, boss!" and all sorts) before they finally succeeded. And it wasn't like they had zero skill in it at all! I think they have finally realised they need to develop more sociable skills, as they have started to put more points into those skills now...
My game group has gained around 750xp during play and while they are good, there are still plenty of things that challenge them.
The campaign I play in has many characters at or over 1000, with one or two over 2000. We have to beef stuff up, but the game still works, and we still have a great time.

Get piloty stuffs, son! I mean...Mandalore!
Edited by Alderaan CrumbsI like to ramp the players to knight level fairly quickly, go at a steady pace until 400xp is and then slow way down after that. With most campaigns wrapping up before 750. I have played two games over 750xp and felt the system really didn't handle it well.

That's Mr. Mandalore to you.
You're the Mandalore? The Mercs Mandalore?
I'm between 1200/1500, spread between 5 trees, 6 force trees and hardly any brought skill ranks. XD

Of all of Mandalore.
Tends to happen when you simultaneously cure a thought plague and free it of Imperial rule in one fell swoop.
Above 2600 XP and the game stills go on
Edge system, even with high "stats" doesn't ensure success (you have a great chance but never assured). Also, you can have an awesome Technician with 5 Ranks on Mech, Comps and some high level talents BUT there are plenty skills that still a challenge.

That battle was epic! You earned that crown. Or whatever the Mandos have their leader wear. A Beskar thong? Yeah, that works.
You name your flagship Twerking Bantha...
We just hit 220 Exp last session! Okay, we just began last year Aug 19th, 2016.
We are earning about 10 exp every other week.
I can easily see where I need to spend 800 to get my character to a nice starting point for a hero. And I'm looking forward to a very lengthy campaign.
As a player I think my PC is around 200 XP, my groups I run they are around the 150-200 mark.
Some of you guys have been playing A.LOT! That's cool- Id love to see some of those sessions- they must be truly epic.
