I think the Generic FO's are underestimated. They dont get killed by one shots nearly as often as regular ties (The shield basically pays for the upgrade by itself) and target locking when out of arc provides them with much better damage consistency than regular ties. The better dial is just a cherry on top.

So the idea is simple, countdown is a nice flanker/diversion who can provide some cheap fire support without instantly dying, then the mini tie swarm fly's in formation with the Inquisitor in the back taking range 3 potshots. Almost everything shoots before TLT y wings, so that can be mass fired, and aces/big bases can be blocked.

The Ties only need to provide incidental damage, their job is to be a slightly juicer target than my aces, cleaning them up will take time that my ace needs to cripple the enemy over time, and the blocking will provide some area control.

I would say that Epsilons are better than Zetas right now. While you occasionally want to kill TLT Ys, the chance to block bombing K-wings is bigger.

I totally agree for higher end tourny play, however my local meta is flooded with TLT Y's, Im basically garenteed to run into a pair every other match
