Crazy Firespray fix idea

I like the idea. Even if the limit was just no uniques and pay the price on the card.

I think most people would take the Misthunter title, for the barrel roll action, thus giving the Firespray an actual repositioning, well that or Adaptive Ailerons.

How about something less crazy like,

Gains boost using speed 2 templates.

It would give it more of the fast movie feel it had on the big screen.

I also think it is time for FFG to modify the title rules to allow you to equip one unique and non-unique title to your ship. Though it does not matter at present as no ships have both types of titles, it does limit some design space they could utilise.

Definitely agree that there needs to be a "feature" non-slot for things like adaptive ailerons, SF training, pivot wings, etcetera. This proposed "illegal transponder" would fit right in with that crowd. :)

A speed 2 boost isn't a hard turn, it just covers more area making it faster. (Just like in the clip you posted)

Large ship only.

When you reveal and execute a maneuver you may treat any white bank, straight, turn maneuver as 1 speed slower and any green maneuver as 1 speed higher. You lose the boost action from your action bar.

Boom fixes a majority of large ship dials in the game that needs it (aside from lambda) while leaving EU open for other large ships, opening up way more options (giving hard 1s to almost all of them) way more greens but has the draw back of no more boosting of large ship arc dodging. Keeps large ships "slow" yet still maneuverable. Thoughts?

While it can feasibly fix the Firespray, I am STRONGLY against this. Why? Because it limits the kinds of titles that can be made for ALL ships from there on out. Fixes the problem while creating a new one. Sorry.

However, to expand on what I just said... I believe you're on the right track. The Firespray is known for its versatility and customization. Maybe a mod or title that allows you to equip another mod or title in addition (similar to Smuggling Compartment). I can see the effect being something that would either encourage creativity and cool combos or something that would lower the cost of the ship a tad.

Your upgrade bar gains any upgrade icon of your choice (except Astromech), and you cannot equip more than 1 of the same EPT this way. You may equip 1 additional Title upgrade.

Just imagine the possibilities... System for Reinforced Deflectors, Tech slot for Comm Relay, Turret slot to possibly free up EU, Torpedo slot with Andrasta title for a very scary high PS bomber, a way to actually use Navigator on Imperial Boba Fett while keeping a Crew for mods or combos, even an EPT for the generics so one of them can be a makeshift Jumpmaster when equipped with the Slave-1 title or just use missiles instead, a new Palpatine carrier, or even... *gasp* an Illicit or Salvaged Astromech slot for Imperials! This is way less crazy than having it be able to use other ship titles (which many ships are balanced around) while still keeping it varied, fun, and thematic!

Cookie's given me an idea... Instead of pilfering titles, let the firespray loot the games astromechs. Give it a discount too.

Called the modification "illegal droid brain" and give it a -3 cost. If you buy any droid, you can buy an additional modification of the exact same cost

Bumping up my thread with the announcement of the new scum titles.

Both would also go great on the firespray.

Starviper means firesprays are 3 points cheaper. The barrel roll wouldn't matter unless you took expert handling but would be interesting.

Kfighter title is even better. As long as you take 3 or more upgrades you're saving just as many points or more as the starviper. Plus can combo engine with autothrusters.

I think ffg missed a great opportunity. Could have made the kfighter title for both kfighters AND firesprays.

Not sure the ship even need much in the way of help other then the eu. lol Was wondering when a serious thread for this would come around even after the recent world's showing of double firesprays. Granted they were not top 4 or anything. ;)
