Accurate as can be?

By Ronu, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So bit of a conundrum. I see Accuracy Corrector and go this could be really useful. Then I look further and go I'm not seeing it. Anyone with list/thoughts to really make this work and work well? Not a lot of ships to use it, and making it worthwhile seems a challenge.

In combination with Autoblaster turret on a VCX it can be amazing. More so with the phantom docked. Just get in R1 and you have 4 auto unblockable hits. Just costs a bit for what it is... probably not very competitive due to the short range.

Anything that can equip Autoblaster (cannon or turret) loves Accuracy Corrector.

It's free dice modification on a TIE Advanced with x1 title.

There's a trick with Flechette Torpedoes, Accuracy Corrector and Munitions Failsafe to make an endless stress machine. It works a little better with Deadeye. Both parts of Accuracy Corrector's ability are "may" clauses. So you can cancel all your dice results, choose to not add the two hits and your torpedo misses. It still gives stress to a target with <4 hull. Because of Munitions Failsafe, you keep the torp to do it again. It's expensive, but it's a funny way to shut down some aces lists. Rebels can do it on the U-wing or E-wing. Scum can do it with a StarViper.

As a frequent Ghost flyer, I can say this is true in principle. However, I've had trouble taking advantage of the combo as nobody is crazy enough to get caught in range 1 of you. If you use a U-Wing as a blocker you might fare well. Otherwise, FCS is great for the rerolls might get you more hits than AC.

I had a lot of fun with Vader and 3 Accuracy Corrector Tempests but defenses started getting a bit too tough for two dice to push through damage.

A Tempest with Title, Accuracy Corrector, Guidance Chips, and Cluster Missiles comes out to 25 points. Four of them can make short work of low agility ships.

If you play any squad full of generic ships with Accuracy Corrector use the old damage deck. Accuracy Corrector still gets two hit results even when you have Blinded Pilot.
