There's a tournament tommorow and if I can make it I think I want to earn some achievements.

Here's a few ideas so far...

1. Use a randomly generated list.(if anyone remembers that website that does it please let me know)

2. Play an entire game with my dials visible to the opponent.

3. Play an entire game only using hard two turns

4. Assign an enemy ship the " turn the other cheak" condition card....I can not shoot at it no matter what.

5. Tom Cruise achievement...Fly through every enemy ship at least once and take a picture of it from 3 meters.

Seems kind of insulting to your opponent.

In reference to playing with your dial fave up, I have played a game doing this. The game came to a 1v1 of Nien Nunb and Countess. My Nien had stay on target, bb8, pattern analyzer, autothrusters and black one title. With that build I would just dial in 3 straight green, bb8 barrel roll, change dial to hard/tallon roll 3, PA a boost/focus and clear stress after ending up at range one.

Soon both of us stopped putting our dials down and left them at 5 forward and 3 forward. Countess would k turn and Nien would SoT/BB8.

It's a little bit cruel to do to an opponent, and I think you'd find its only fun for the first 10 minutes until you lose, then wait another hour for the next bit of shenanigans.

There are some bounties posted by various podcasts.

1. Mynock Squadron's "Sideburn": Destroy a ship during the planning phase by using BoShek to run the opposing ship into an obstacle, bomb, or off the mat.

2. Scum and Villainy is providing a reward for the person who can score the highest at a premier event using the Princess Leia crew card in their squad (in honor of the passing of Carrie Fisher).

Either of those could be fun to try.

In recent tournaments I've usually tried to set a personal goal or pick a little mini acheivement to focus on if I'm not doing well - typically beating a list I usually have trouble with, or in one case, killing a Soontir with Baffled Rage Quickdraw. Makes things more interesting.

Win a game without rolling any red dice. With bombs and the right match-up it would totally be doable.

Use the HotAC AI and play Imperials. I am going to do that as a filler for a tournament sometime when I am the TO.

My friends and I joke about achievements, but it might be fun to actually track them. Here are a few we've tossed around.

Ionize a large base off the map.

Tractor Beam a ship to death. (Rocks or forced to fly off the board.)

Kill a ship with the HWK's primary (my wife did this to me. The worst part was the attack was Range 3 against a TIE. I made the mistake of saying, "This will never hit.")

Produce 5 evades with a 1-AGI ship. (I did it with Rey/Finn/Countermeasures at Range 3 through an obstacle. It could have been 6 evades if I used the original MF title.)

Honestly we all keep track of crazy stuff we have pulled in game and actually lived to talk about it

ionizing both Kath and Boba off opposite sides of the board with 4 Y Wing List.....in the same game....and by opposite sides of the board I mean clear cut across the board, no side line lol

even my opponent shook my hand at me being able to pull that off

(oh and this was in a tourney not a friendly weekly game)

I'm attending a Regional next Sunday with Fickle's Arcs' n'Biggs: my goals

-Finish 3-3 or better

-Let Biggs survive at least one game

-Activate Braylen's gunner against a 0 agi ship

-Beat a Parattanni

-No headache at the end of the day

-Have a perfect shot with Norra (5 hits/crits out of the front, 4 from the rear)

-Have fun

I succeeded at this recently - Running Corran Miranda vs bro-bots. Managed to ion both IG's off the board without a single shot fired on either side.
