Falcon and U-Wing

So, say I'm attached to a Falcon and a UWing. What are some good load outs?

Im toying around with this:

Big Ships (94)

Rey (62) - YT-1300
Expertise (4), Kanan Jarrus (3), Finn (5), Millennium Falcon (1), Engine Upgrade (4)

Blue Squadron Pathfinder (32) - U-Wing
Fire Control System (2), Luke Skywalker (7), Pivot Wing (0)

i have 6 points, a torp, missile, a modification, and a crew slot open.

Not attached to Luke (so many points), but pivot, shoot, lock, shoot again seems good to me.

I'm not against a better PS UWing, but was toying with antipursuit lasers or ion projectors (maybe Heff)... But very open to build that heads a different direction

I have had some success with this combo. With both being at pilot skill 8 it can help you with coordinating your two ships. Jyn Jan can help either ship around as well.

What about adding Kyle Katarn to your U-Wing, so when Jarrus removes a stress you also gets a focus?

Just curious: if you have Expertise, why do you have Jyn as a crew member on Cassian? Seems like you wouldn't be able to do anything with the Focus you're sending to Rey. You're only rolling one green die. Also, without PTL on Cassian, I don't see how Kanan helps as a crew member on Rey. The U wing only has one red maneuver.

EDIT: I see now you have Jan, which would give Rey an evade, so that would be nice. Still not sure that's the best way to use Jan/Jyn, but it should sustain Rey a bit.

I like having Jan in there, but I think I would adjust Starrider's a little. Maybe drop down to Heff for an awesome blocker. Not sure if this is as great as I want it to be.

J swindy you wouldn't be able to take the engine upgrade and ID on Rey as smuggling compartment only lets you take a 3point or less mod.

The benefit I find for Jyn Jan is it can be used on either ship.

The biggest reason kannan is on Rey is to take as much advantage of the sloop title. Allowing her to clear the stress thus use expertise. Multiple focus tokens on Rey does help her as Finn does add a blank in defense which, of course, when retooled cooled be a focus.

I played a match with something similar to this, although had HSCP instead of Op Spec. Worked good in that match, barely lost to a Paratanni variant, but Rey went 4/6 crits over debris (what the hell are the odds of that!?!), lol, 3 after shields, and one crit was bump and get damage and she took a couple more there. Think I did 6 damage to her myself, haha. Had Manaroo on something like 2 hull and Asajj on 1 hull I think. HSCP Gunner was brutal on Asajj's token stack though, not sure if Op Spec gunner can produce like that, but hoping it can up Reys offense.

Made a couple changes, Op Spec instead of HSCP, and added old title to Rey for a little defense.

With Intimidation and Zeb, nobody will ever think about blocking Rey. It's a scare tactic, I want them flying away from her or else. I flew Heff with Zeb at regionals and it worked awesome. Figure with Rey/Finn/Intimidation nobody will take that chance. Enemies flying away helps Cassian keep arc since Uwings dont have the great dial.

Cassian fires first, misses, tosses a focus to Rey for her attack, then fires again, hopefully stripping tokens, if he cant punch through, he gets a focus for defense. Engines on both at PS8 allow arc dodging and boosting to range 1. Cassian removes any stress from Rey, allowing her to Kturn every round ala a Defender. Cassian aint so bad on his own either, he can boost to safety, flip to landing mode, next turn 180, and still end up with a full modded shot with FCS/OP SPEC/GUNNER.

Add sabine to your U-wing, keep Rey in her perfect combo of upgrades, very few changes are as good as her optimal loadout. Fiddle with smuggling vs. engines or VI vs. Expertise, leave the rest alone IMO

I like this hammer-and-anvil list with Heff blocking and Rey hammering 'em hard:

Rey (Sloop title + Expertise + Finn + C-3PO + HM + EU) - 67 pts

Heff Tobber (Pivot Wing + Cassian Andor + Zeb Orrellios + EU + Collision Detector) - 31 pts

Total 98 pts

My wife was the first to suggest this list and use it against me. I got pounded and narrowly won when she blundered and flew Rey off the map. It came down to a 1v1 between the Inquisitor (2HP, 1 shield) vs Rey (5 HP left, no shields) so she had a better chance to win it. I've adopted the list since then and it's become one of my favorite Rebel lists.

Heff is a mobile blocker extraordinaire and gets Cassian for intel so you can hopefully make sure Rey gets her shots in. I can also see swapping the Sloop title for the Evade title and getting something other than 3PO (maybe Leebo, Lando or Jan Ors), but I like the maneuverability of this build for keeping things in Rey's arc.

Missing upgrade

Great stuff, I've made both a Heff blocker and a Cassian VI list. Gonna run them both. Really like this... something really different than my imperial aces standard fare

With both him and Rey being at PS 8 he can fire first and strip focus tokens off two ships, which is good both offensively and defensively. This also relies on the FCS "may" condition, as you only take the new target lock when it is advantageous to do so. It's maybe not as good as the Gunner HSCP Cassian that was suggested. But it's a far more defensively minded take on that Cassian, and can really save you some pain at times.

Played it this past weekend and it went surprisingly well. Cassian was passing Rey a lot of focus tokens for her full mod shots. Think they did 6 damage to Manaroo in one round, then finished her off the next.

Looking at the stats, Intimidation only worked once, because my opponent only bumped/blocked her once (all three ships were lower PS and Rey only got blocked once!!!), but really it was working all game long because it made my opponent fly different by banking and boosting away rather than bumping Rey and firing at Cassian. Intimidation Zeb also let me be very aggressive with my maneuvers. If I want to get range 1 on someone I just dial up a 3 bank and if I run into them, oh well. I dont have to think about 1 banking/straight and boosting into range 1.

Haha, forgot to add it. Guess I should start using yet another squad builder like everybody else :) Edited.

I'm having some fun with this. Heff blocker is kinda where I'm leaning. It really depend on my other squad for the Hoth Hanger Bay event.

I need the two squads to do different things... But right now some variant of this will be one of the two.

I love this, it has become my main flight for 100pt and it is pretty fun to fly. I do wish I still had enough points for engine booster on Rey, and I have flown it with expertise gone, EU, and Adaptability instead... but it's a hard choice as both are really good.

I've only ever snapshotted twice with Cassian, but the point here is to go for the bump to get the snap shot, then the following turn drop a proxmine on them. I usually get the prox mines off and they usually help turn the tide pretty good. I find people usually go for Rey first, which is a mistake because Cassian usually does most of the damage. :)

I've tried finding better wingment for Cassian but haven't found something good yet.

The other option is to drop Cassian down to a BSP...

I rarely use Cassian's ability anyways.... it's nice insurance policy to keep Rey stressless, but this also gives me engine on both.

Can't do this. Engine upgrade is 4 points, while smuggling compartment lets you take a 3 point mod
