LOL, that's pretty funny. Until I actually saw them side by side, I thought they were different symbols too!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it's 30 pages, but I can't remember where I read that.

32

Ok guys, I just received an answer from our french friend RAF Park. I thank him to give us some of his time to personally give us pieces of info.

1) His article will mainly focus on the rules, He sees the rules as being complex enough to offer quite a variety of tactical possibilities. the rules are, as we already can figure out, simple to handle but with many exceptions like many other minis games. He will delve into it but thinks that the price tags will make it quite an expansive one to align a decent army.

2) About the minis : they are in soft plastic, not especially cool for trimming where the fig is really thin (like weapons or thin areas of the body). they are 32/33mm. He agrees to say that it is the same quality minis than in Imperial Assault..but in pieces and to assemble (He owes himself Descent and IA). Proportions of the minis are a bit exaggerated for game painting purpose. He gives us below a picture He took of different minis from different games (from left to right : a Skaven from Bloodbowl, an Undead from Runewars, a Pict from Conan and an Ork from Drakerys )

Concerning the figures itself, He thinks that it's not enough detailed to make them interesting. He thinks also that a simple technique of base coating, dry brushing and wash drawing would make it perfectly (He will try it next week and write down his thought into his next article, maybe.).

3) Our friend answers to one of our questions here : How did He get the box in advance ? Well He does know Asmodee's communication Head who is responsible for FFG and who asked him personally to make a test of Runewars minis. RAF Park thought He would just receive minis but He found himself with a game box in the hands so. RAF Park tells me too that he's been writing articles about American typed games for now ten years (fanzines, magazines, his blog, etc.) and that He made more than some connections in the business so this is in summary how He was asked to test our awaited game.

That's pretty everything He told me and I translated it just for you guys. So thank to RAF Pack for his valuable amount of infos and stay focused. :)

I personally love the thumbnails of the imperial assault

While the Imperial Assault miniatures are acceptable enough I hope this is just a starting point and that the miniatures will get better over time.

And that was the statement that FFG made in the Gencon video, we are using the same material as IA with 4 poses but as the game progresses the models will improve in quality and customization, though after build a few hundred empire state troops and then trying to get them to stay in perfect ranks I kinda like the idea of minimal poses for the blocks of dudes...but then again I did not build the empire troops in formation which was my main problem...

Thanks Elrad...not the best news, but still can't wait for the minis...

Yeah, I remember them saying that. It's the material I'm hoping will be changing to something a little harder over time.

I feel like if they plan on making things customize-able they may have to...here's hoping

If FFG had an existing line with denser minis, I would say lets hope that some day we get a Pro quality hard-plastic mini for heroes and such, but the closest thing they have is the 3D printing they use for Armada/XWing, and it really isn't the same thing. You can probably proxy some Age of Sigmar or Kings of War minis on the trays if your really get desperate.
