I'd be interested in playing as a rotation player. What do you think of a scholar who has created a collection of knowledge. Who either trades information for new pieces of knowledge, or joins the group to gather this new information?
The Space Between the Stars OOC
I like both of those options, also with a preference for the E-9

Sounds pretty good.
Look, I know the E-9 can hold 2 years of consumables, but you guys won't be trapped in the Yavin system that long.
Never hurts to be prepared
I'm mostly just a fan of it aesthetically though, and it suits my character concept pretty well given it's a long range exploration vessel. Seems to be kitted out as well as most ships we'll get at the starting ship price point. Encumbrance is a little low but that's not the end of the world unless we want to haul anything massive.
Both ships are certainly great options. I wouldn't mind either but I'm leaning toward the YT-2000.
That being said, I wouldn't mind either and would certainly be happy with the E-9 as well.

Both are fine, but I actually like the E-9 better. It's more unique and characterful. Besides, it spacious (4 crew common area and 4 rooms for up to 12 passengers is plenty) and we don't foresee being cargo haulers so the limited cargo capacity is not important. I like the fact that the description includes a network of crawlspaces for narrative purposes (plenty of places for your coward mechanic to hide). The fact that it gives a boost die to any repairs we have to do is nice as well.
Sorry about the delay. Since another pilot joined, here is Chewrurgie Wookiee doctor.
We seem to have an abundance of high-intellect characters but no good "face" types. Hopefully someone charming and witty will come along. If not I might be tempted to switch out Massan for a talker...
I have a temporary solution for that in the form of the crew NPC captain. I just have to build her today
Kit list done, sorry for the delay!
All right. Captain preliminary sheet listed on the first post. Just have to grab my CRB (FaD, because the EotE CRB is still with a friend) for weapon and armor mod specs.
We could also get the Lancer class pursuit craft from No Disintegrations - it's really fast and packs a punch (it's Ketsu Onyo's ship from Rebels). Rarity 8 though.
For those without No Disintegrations the Lancer:
Sil: 4 Speed: 5 Handling: -2
defenses: 1 - - 0
Armor: 2 HT: 20 SS: 10
hyperdrive: 2/12
Sensor: Short
Ships complement: Pilot, co-pilot
Passenger capacity: 4
Consumables: 3 months
Hard points: 3
dorsal turret mounted triple laser cannon, forward mounted twin light laser canon, ventral light tractor beam
Its cost is lower than 120k?
Edited by ProphytCost is 120,000
Lancer looks very cramped with 2 crew and space for 4 passengers. And it looks far more dangerous than an explorer vessel...
Compared to the E-9, the hull plating is lower, SS is lower, shields are weaker, hyperdrive is slower, HT is lower, and it has 1 less HP
Yeah, it looks like the only things it has going for it is the tractor beam (which we can use a HP for on another ship) and its speed, which isn't that big of a deal, IMHO.
Besides, it looks like the vote is swinging for the E-9. Now we just need to name the lovely lady.

For a full comparison, E-9 stats from Enter the Unknown are in bold
E-9 is better overall - just wanted to throw something else out there that was quick and hit hard. I could see either being sent into an unknown dangerous situation.
@Prophyt Did you see my character sheet for the rotation player list?

That I did. I just keep forgetting to update the primary post
For those of us who just keep refreshing this page every so often, the IC thread is up!
