In the USA we have Regionals this weekend in San Diego, Milwaukee, Las Vegas, and San Antonio. If you're going to one of those Regionals please try to get a copy of the fleet lists and order of finish to add to our dataset.
2/11 Regionals
San Antonio is covered, of course.
Also, we expect to stream the top table. The venue has awful internet stability, so it'll probably be interrupted a few times (ffffffff...), but should be pretty good nonetheless. I'll post details when we've got them.
I'll talk to @Snipafist and see if we can grab Milwaukee for you. Do we just talk to the judges and ask nicely for everything? Or is there more to it than that?
That's usually just it. Ask the Judges if, after the fact, you can have a copy of the final Standings, and the lists that people submitted/brought along, if possible.
If they don't want to give them to you, ask if they can submit them to Shmitty on the FFG Forums for the Regional Data Project.
Either one of those will
generally
work, but you never know
I'll generally ask to snap pictures of the lists and final standings at the end of the tourney. It's quick, the TO isn't usually too busy, and you can refer back to them later to type them all up.
I will be at San Diego. As with last year, I will attempt to get copies or photos of the lists after the fact. I will be visiting family for the long weekend after the event, so I may not be able to update them until the middle of next week.
Schmitty you can be sure all lists will be saved and sent you from San Antonio! We don't run no amateur show here!?

Looking forward to seeing Mothma well represented

Considering that it was you posting the San Antonio Regionals fleets last year that got this whole project started, I would expect nothing less.

Huh! I didn't realize it was me that started your grand crazy data gathering project! Cool I am honored!
I'll be at Milwaukee, too. Feel free to look me up, @geek19 .

How big are you expecting it to be? And should we wear forum nametags, haha?

Since three of us are traveling from central Illinois, I contacted the store to gauge whether it was going to be two days or not so we could book appropriate hotel accomodations. Earlier this week, the number was up to 19, so it seems very unlikely that it will be two days since pre-registration is required by tonight. I blame X-Wing Regionals happening in Chicago last weekend for cutting into people's interest. I'm imagining it'll be a 3-round, most TP wins, sort of thing since a cut doesn't kick in until 29 players.
I'll have copies of my 3d-printed trays with my ships, and I'll probably be wearing either my gray Indianapolis 2-day tournament t-shirt or a brown Boba Fett t-shirt. All that should help spot me.
I should be in a tie. Potentially my R2D2 one because why not? If I can find it, I may have a Jar Jar Binks one somewhere because I am bad people.
I'll be at the Milwaukee Regional as well. I've been going back and forth on if I want to go, but finally decided getting three games of Armada in (regardless of results) will be fun.
I'll be there with @geek19 in my That's No Moon t-shirt because I'm classing up the joint.

You mean the "That's No Moon" ale shirt? I'll be sure to leave mine at home so we don't look like twinsies. You didn't go to Worlds, did you? Because I had an opponent in one round where we took a twinsies photo.
I really wish I could travel to the US, on occasion.
Losing to all of you classy gentlemen would be a privilege.

Yup, that's the one. It's somewhat popular amongst Star Wars nerds but it's so much fun.

Hey I'm sure we could work out something for you in the Chicagoland area and that's not too far Beyond the Wall for you to venture.

Unfortunately, its not the distance. Its the Border.
With the political change, and the abolishments of departments and waivers (which I used to utilise) it has become nigh impossible for me to actually cross the border without incident and/or harm.
As it is, I'll need to apply for a specific transit visa waiver to even fly back to Australia, if it just happens to have a US based Stopover.

I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe someday?
It'll be easier for us to crash Calgary at some point.
Used to go up there for Warhammer tourneys. Sentry Box is a fantastic game shop.

I move to Seattle area this summer. I hope to get up to Hothgary eventually from there.
Texas to PNW? That'll be a culture/weather shock.
But there are some nice Armada communities in that area. I'm sure I'll at least catch ya at a tournament.
Hey, come see us in Vantooine too! Though maybe i'll hop over to Calgary and join in on the fun....
