Did you get the Milwaukee regionals data?

Yes!

It was e-mailed to me. I will probably work on that next,

Las Vegas was gathered and is incoming. San Diego is partially posted, with the full data coming later. And if San Antonio isn't up yet it will be soon.

Busy Armada weekend!

Just checking! Glad that you got it

Here is the word Doc with the full final standings and lists from San Diego. Overall, we had a great time and I'd like to take a moment to thank the awesome crew from At Ease Games, both the local players and the awesome employees of both AEG and their adjacent brewhouse which provided the excellent table space.

Is this a Screed list with no crit upgrades? And a flight commander Gozanti? And an EHB raider? I'm so confused right now... Hope we get a battle report.

Sorry, just realized this is an epic necro. Gotta check the dates on things more :P

If we're still waiting 9 months later, I expect you're going to be disappointed.

Yep. Mostly with myself right now, for not looking more closely.

LOL where did this come from? Since you asked...

1) Looking back Screed is an interesting choice. Probably should have just used Motti but I think I was going to guarantee of extra dmg from the ISD since I was using Flight Controllers instead of Ordnance Exp. I think this was also before JJ whom I used more often after he was introduced.

2) At 3 points, Flight Commander is cheaper than Boosted Comms at 4.

3) Expanded Hanger on a Raider makes it a Gozanti. When coupled with a Lambda, the Raider can spam Squadron commands while hanging back to wait for a time to strike (ideally after Rhymer, Stele, & Co cripple a ship). This list was all about the fighters/bombers.

Most importantly, the EHB on the Raider was critical for the Fighter Ambush Objective, which 2 of my 3 opponents chose. It allowed me to push 8 activations to my fighters thru the Lambda on TURN 1. With Rhymer in his heyday (pre-nerf), this was brutal. In my first game I destroyed my opponent's transport on turn 1. In my second game I alpha-ed my opponents Mauler/Black Squadron tie fighter wing on turn 1 (leaving only 1 generic tie or jumper out of Mauler/Black/3 ties/jumpaster).

My 3rd opponent, the 2nd place finisher w/ no squads was the only one who didn't select Fighter Ambush. Even without fighters he almost defeated me, mostly because I made one crucial activation order mistake (which still haunt me to this day). While thinking one activation ahead, I activated a Gozanti (instead of my ISD) into range of his ISD front arc. Instead of landing on the station w/my ISD first, I allowed his Gunnery Teamed ISD to kill 1 gozanti and 1 raider in one turn and then jam my ISD from on top of the station. With 6 activations to my 4, plus my mistake, it was almost too much. But the power Rhymer/Stele couldn't be denied. We played Superior Positions and my bombers (b/c of Rhymer) were giant ball of death that he had to fly into in order to engage my ships. So with Superior Positions tokens, lambda relays, and bombing runs I still won the day. In fact, I guaranteed my win that match and for the tournament on my last activation/roll by using a squad token to activate Rhymer thru a lambda to move into medium range of the rear arc of his Demo and rolled a hit to kill demo and get another token.

With the lessons I learned in that Regionals, I know use Jerrjerrod instead of Screed as my go to ISD commander. It's all about navigating.

Thanks for the interest!

Woah. This makes much more sense now (partly because I've realized the thread is nine months old, so it's pre-nerf Rhymer. ) Thanks for the detailed breakdown on an interesting fleet!
