Assajj Tractor Beams

Hey all! I wondering if you could provide some thoughts on this list of shenanigans .... maybe offer some ideas of how I can tweak the list to get a little more out of it? I'd like to stick with the double quadjumpers... but I'm not completely set on the scyk. Perhaps a headhunter with black market slicers?

I like running two Gunrunners myself (gives you some redundancy), but they are absolutely crying out for Pattern Analyzer: the ability to reverse and then use the Tractor Array is phenomenal.

Asajj needs Latts to survive, Dengar is nice but she is very fragile without her!

Thanks for the advice! I've thought about it a bit and have changed it to this (with the above tips in mind):

From my (limited) experience, Asajj really needs two actions a turn (or the equivalent of). So if I'm ditching dengar (for the pseudo target lock), I'd prefer to get Push the Limit on her. Nice tip on the Pattern Analyzers ... I've been hesitant to use them because the wording on the card just confused me. If I already have a stress (from some outside source or a previous round), I wont be able to do the action, correct? But if it wasn't there, I could red maneuver, action, then get the stress? Or do you red maneuver, get the stress, action, then check for stress?

Do you think the Black Market Slicer tools on the pirate is good enough for his slot in this list?

Anyways... looks like I'll have to try this out tomorrow night!

Yeah, I like the second one better. Tractor beam on a low PS ship was really only good for repositioning someone, and if you've already TBd them, you can't move them again.

how do you get the stress on the opponent? I know Assajj gives 1 stress out, but usually that guys just shoots someone else and the other 3 ships shoot at Asajj.

Part of flying a QJ and Lancer list is obstacle placement. Specifically, I like using the big rocks near the middle of the map, and ensuring that the battle takes place around it. You want something big and chunky and rocky to Tractor your opponents on to, preferably twice and then drop the Stress on them too. It doesn't matter how defensible Asajj is or isn't if the opponents can't fire on her. I used a Lancer / QJ / 3x Z95 list last weekend and entirely took apart Vader / Quickdraw / Dutchess (flown by a very capable opponent) and didn't lose a single ship.

I'd also suggest dropping the BMST and adding XX23/Chip on the Z95. With good tractor / asteroid placement, and an opportune block by the large base of the Lancer, you can strand major targets on the rock and wreck them.

I'm going to tweak the list to the following, as it should work well for my style of play and how my regular opponents like to engage.
