I'm unclear, did the dancer get close enough for me to reach her?

Ok so it's Deception time I think, the majordomo needs to believe our story that we are here to negotiate
She hasn't moved yet. She's not sure if she trusts you - or what's in it for her
Deception vs Majordomo:
2 red
1 purple
1 black
Have a blue too since the receptionist is on your side

Hi majordomo, of course we are legitimate: 1eP+2eA+1eD+2eC 3 failures, 2 advantage

convincing Demeanour removed the Setback, didn't help much... oh dear
Oh dear... Well, go ahead and write your less than successful attempt, and I'll respond ![]()
Perhaps the Advantage is that he believes the business we are here for is less legitimate, Nir is lying about it being an above board offer? Or is that too much for only 2 Advantage?
Oh my, just look at the time! Hold on, I seem to have left my watch in my briefcase...
More seriously, those advantage might be our saving grace. How do you want to use them, Richard? He doesn't believe us but can't confirm it until we're already deeper inside the building?
I can accept that - understand of course that unexpected guests on illegal business masquerading as legitimate businessmen will have certain disadvantages.
So what's the difficulty to convince her to come closer?
I'm gonna tell her that I got some gossip that involves her...
I think that's better than the alternative. Nir's goal here is to distract as much as possible. If he is suspected, all the better, some of the others can sneak off and get up to mischief.
Hmm... when she has a guard behind her trying to get her to go out to the mistress?

I got a feeling that we're kind of a package deal, here. I doubt we'd be allowed to wander off on our own while you stayed behind.
You may, of course, attempt to do whatever it is you wish, friends.

Why go so light as gossip? Tell her that you have news vital to her very life, something that will make her risk a shove from the guard to just get closer to hear your whisper. Then, after you secure the pins, make something up. She'll likely be pissed, but hey, maybe we can free her on our way out.

Key word being "attempt," I imagine ![]()
*smiles* May the odds be ever in your favor.
Shard: Yes, I have perhaps not been clear, but basically she's on her way out the door to go to work. You know, with a big mean Weequay holding pike making sure she gets there.
Does Shard know at all that they are coming to rescue him at all?
Nope. Not that I know of.
Depending on how tightly knit we are as a group leading into this, he might be expecting or at least hoping for it. But he wouldn't know the when and the how. Him going after lockpicks makes sense because he may not be able to count on the rest of the group reaching him in time.
Edited by Benjan MerunaYes. That's about how I figured it was.
Question for you, keshalyi: Is it all right to use this thread to provide advice to each other OOC? I kind of just did it without asking... ![]()

If you want to try that, I don't think it would be too suspicious, to have the valet go "park" the speeder. Or we could have two of us do that if you want. Or we could continue to try and talk our way through this as a group.
If we do split up, how close is the rest of our gear? Could those of us who leave go get the rest of our gear then come back and sneak in?
I was also considering flipping a DP to have the next appointment turn up early. "Sure we can wait right here in the lobby while you have your meeting first, go park the car and I'll call you when it's time to leave."
That could work. is there a way we can compile the destiny pool on the first page? I don't think I ever saw what the whole pool was together, just the single dice rolls.
