Really nice gaming area!!! I'm jealous. Basement? We don't get basements where I live. The frost line is too shallow that it's not affordable for them to just throw one in for free.

Ah, these are moments when I miss a house. I had a similar set up (with swords and polearms instead of firearms), but gave it up for 900 sf in the Loop. OTOH, most of my old gaming gang has scattered across the Midwest and/or become parents in the last 10 years.

And I would have to say that being a nerd is pretty much mainstream these days. Cosplay, comic cons, etc., etc. People who aren't "nerds" typically know someone who is, and can make the connection.

See, I don't think I am... The idea of a comic con or cosplaying makes me scoff with a bit of scorn:)

No no.... I primarily play with little toy soldiers. I paint them myself. Sort of like the character played by Steve Carell in "The Forty Year Old Virgin."

Nice games room. What toy soldiers games to you play? By your collection of black powder replicas I'm guessing Napoleonics and something with a Viking ship I see.
