So after seeing Darth Sanguis excellent post regarding the squadron command plate and falling in love with them at first sight, I showed them to my son as we both play Armada. He loved them as well. If you haven't seen his post, here it is for some reference:
After chatting with my son regarding this great idea, our conversation evolved to "wouldn't it be great if there was an app to do it". Over the next few days, my son developed an Android app for us to use during our games to help manage squadron activations/damage/defense tokens. We each loaded our squadron lists into our phones and have been playing the Corellian Conflict using the app to see if it helped speed up squadron attacks and not bumping and moving the squads on the table as much.
In our opinion, it greatly sped up the games and it was much easier to activate squads/deal damage/use defensive tokens. We moved the activation sliders to middle of the bases, so the squads didn't bump each other as much. I also use the Armada Fleet Designer app for lists and the dice roller app that FFG created, so I can now very easily switch between the apps.
