It gets mentioned all the time, ever since it was announced for Armada 2 years ago.

Rebel: N-1 Starfighter and SF/TIE - with only Poe Dameron as a pilot (unique) a crew slot and an illict

No way scum gets the yt-1300 before the han movie (if ever). IF it happens, that's the most logical time to get it, when we can get it with a young han scum pilot, probably a young lando, and whoever else.

And I doubt we ever get the gunboat unless it shows up in canon. They're pretty heavily sticking to canon ships the last couple waves. The last non-canon ships we got were the punishing one and mist hunter in wave 8, and even those were at least canon pilots.

There are already many instances of non-canon pilots in the game, so adding a Gunboat and their pilots istance a stretch at all; as to the Young Han Solo movie, we will have to see I don't think they'll ever make a Han Solo (scum version)

We have a lot of non-canon pilots in the game from BEFORE the disney takover and new canon. And the introduction of numerous new canon ships between movies, TV shows and comics. Since then, we've gotten stuff that was probably already in development when disney took over/new canon sources started, and then 2 and a half waves of only canon stuff.

N1 could be a 2 attack, 4 agility, 2 hull, 1 shield ship with barely roll and a T-65's dial

But why? Im not too familiar with why this is a community specific meme. The ship looks rather average and boring. PLEASE TELL ME, Why Gunboats?

Strikers are in so why not snowspeeders? Never mind, they can't fly in space.

Nostalgia. You flew them for a good chunk of the TIE Fighter video game, one of the greatest combat flight sims of all time and a game that a lot of X-wing players grew up on.

It has astromech which neither of them have. Also torpedoes instead of missiles. And likely barrel roll which neither have as well.

Because they were regularly featured in the video game series that this Miniatures game was originally based on and took it's name from, and because those of us who have played those games (which remain some of the best Star Wars space combat games ever made, some 20+ years after they were made) have fond memories of both flying and fighting them.

Because they could potentially fill a niche currently unoccupied in the Imperial forces in the gam.

And because after the Original Core Set TIE, TIE Fighter expansion, Force Awakens TIE/fo's, Gozanti TIE and TIE/sf, some of us would like a little bit more aesthetic variety in the Imperial forces.

Also, I wouldn't call it a "meme". This is a ship that a rather large number of X-Wing players would really like to see in the game.

Perhaps go even simpler, still with the token. When fired and at PS0 or 12 use 3 straight or bank template to move the token. If it moves within range 1 or a ship finishes its move within range 1 of the token it attacks and rolls 3-5 dice against it. Can be shot at at range 1-2, has 4 agility but only 1 hull because its a tiny fast target.

I'd love to see a manually moved missile in the game - in particular the Heavy Rocket from TIE Fighter would fit that mould perfectly. Action to launch, with a token numbered so you can match it up to the firer. Each round the token moves using any 1 speed forward move, and if it or its template overlaps a ship or a ship or its template overlaps the rocket, it detonates doing $thing. I was thinking probably 2 dice of damage, 2 damage per hit rolled, 3 per crit. They would be pretty easy to avoid, so doing HUGE damage would be good.

Also, if it overlaps an obstacle, the obstacle and Rocket are removed from play.

And it looks freaking good.

And it would add something different (that is not a TIE or a Shuttle) to the Imperials.

And it's a cheap cannon, tanky ship.

And it's a design that actually makes sense, from the technical perspective.

And yes, nostalgia. You know, the reason some of us, grown men, buy toys miniature ships.

I'm a fan of introducing some of the comic ships -- the Arkangel, the Wookie anti-slaver ship, or Sana's freighter for Scum; the N-1 starfighter for Rebels; and either the Sith Infiltrator or Nubian starship for Empire.

Just re-watched the Clone Wars episodes of Maul taking over Mandalore this week, and the Kom'rk looked nearly as long as the Black Sun Gozantis, so if they show up, they would most likely end up being a second Scum epic ship. Or, since the Imperial supercommandos also used one in their eponymous Rebels episode, it could come with cards for both Scum and Imperial versions; that could make for some fun missions...
