so ive been looking at one again playing with a phantom however with 4+ attack dice becoming common 4 greens have been having trouble cutting it, especially agenced things like TLTs, the solution i came up with was Palpatine however i didn't have a ship for him so with the new wave i decided to pick up an Upsilon. this is what i came up with

Wisper + VI + Agent Kallus + FCS + ACD: 41

Kylo Ren + Expose + Palpatine + Pattern Analyzer + Title + FCS + Weapons Guidance + EU: 58

total: 99/100

yes i am aware that this upsilon has horrible action economy but i dont see a valid way to fix it without replacing Expose with PTL and i would like to not dubblestress on a red. also should i switch FCS & EU to make it a bumpboat? or rely on being able to fly it as a gunboat?

i am also much more experienced with Echo so if there is anyway to make this list work with him please let me know

Either get rid of expose or weapons guidance. Expose uses your action, therefore you'll have no focus for WG. If you focus for WG then no expose.

that's what i meant by horrid action economy, what do you suggest? PTL instead of expose? that way i can coordinate whisper

Why cant they have a squad leader type card that is a crew member?!?!?

If you have it, Expertise would be a good choice for an EPT. Same cost as Expose and frees up your action for either a focus to power WG, to be able to actually use EU sometimes or for Coordinate to help out Whisper. Only issue is when you are stressed you would loose it's benefit.

Honestly? I recommend NOT running a 58 point ship that dies as soon as something gets behind it.

I'd also not recommend running a Phantom while Kylo is popular, especially Kylo crew.

If you had do, I'd make room for Rebel Captive on Whisper, so now neither of your ships is a great target to shoot at, and you opponent has that much more to think about.

I'm not sure Palp is enough to reliably trigger ISYTDS, either, as you'll want him on Whisper defense if things get hairy, and he doesn't actually guarantee the crit goes through, but that's just a thought.

If you wanted to highlight ISYTDS, Darth Vader pilot (with ATC) or maybe even a TIE/sf might be a better pairing.

Could put expertise on over expose. Then you could swap guidance for a sensor cluster to make your focus token an evade. You could also just drop that second tech and coordinate more often. 3 point bid may seem steep but a lot of the meta is ps 6 (defenders) so having the option there will be nice and a big bid can only help a phantom.

I have a thread with a similar idea but the Kylo ship is much less loaded to fit in Wampa.........I think we have similar ideas but Wampa adds that get a hit no matter what thing that makes him worthy of people considering targeting. This allows for you to pound with the 2 4 dice ships.....if they ignore Wampa then use him to get hits through shields..........it has weaknesses as well, but just another idea........

Striden is pretty much the only Bat I'm going to be able to run. Clutch Coordinate actions can easily win the game, and his low PS means that you might actually be able to save your aces with some shenanigans.
