i like the idea, but to me at least it seems a bit fragile. i would love to hear how it works

Norra needs a TL and a focus in order to capitalize on swarm leader. Rolling 5 dice and only getting 1 hit, sucks. And the more dice norra rolls, the less likely her ability kicks in since it would be better to reroll all the blanks.

Now, opponent attacks Biggs. Thane gets focus and TL. Norra can focus and one turns into an evade. Biggs never has or uses and focus on offense, so an eyeball turns into an evade that Thane can use with swarm leader. Norra has her full mod shot, then Biggs, then finally, Thanes five dice attack. After Biggs falls, Norra still uses recon for evade + focus + TL + R2D2 to stay alive, and opponent either tries to kill her, letting thane get actions for his attack, or go after thane, leaving regen double focus norra for last.

I could see this list being too fragile for competitive play, but it at least guarantees Nora to capitalize on max dice rolls (5-7). And Jan would allow at least one of the A-Wings to focus/PTL evade and get two evades.

Just one problem with this list: Thane doesn't have an elite upgrade so I can't equip him with Searm leader. I like the idea of Biggs using R3 to supply the Swarm Leader with an evade. Definitely didn't think about that. Good idea as long as pilot levels allow it to happen.

The only pilot I found with an Elite upgrade with the same Or lower PS than Biggs is Nera Dantels.

i ran a Jess Pava Swarm leader build in epic. It was amazing during the initial engagement but once the fur was flying it was hard to keep feeding her evades.

R3 on Biggs was kinda cool, and I think he fed her one evade. Jan Ors crew did a better job of evade token feeding.

Jess can throw up to 6 dice at Range 1 with re-rolls and Focus. Since she and the A-Wings are all PS3 they're free to Juke their targets before Jess eats their Evade tokens. Ahsoka can't be shot most of the time, so her Evade will always be available for Jess if she needs it, and BMST of course gives Ahsoka a way to contribute damage without attacking.

I don't have the rebel transport, so wasn't familiar with that card. I'm surprised I haven't encountered it before because that's a nice feature, especially if the pilot can combine an elite talent with a pilot ability.

It's not just you, it happens all the time; people just jump in to correct someone without having looked at the entire list, whether they're familiar with the cards or not.

Anyway, yes, getting Swarm Leader onto someone who can get both re-rolls and Focus makes those extra attack dice extra powerful.

Plus there are a million droids with similar letters. Almost like trying to differentiate the Tie f/o pilots.
