Do u remove the die in POTDS blank?

By DarthBlade, in Star Wars: Destiny

Playing with friends and we were split on this topic. I said since the card Does not say to REMOVE or RESOLVE the die you don't have to even though you do the 2 unblockable dmg. They think you need to remove it since it's doing dmg. Thoughts?

You only do what the card says, and the card doesn't say anything about removing the die. Damage doesn't factor into it at all.

No it just deals 2 if it blanks, no need to remove or resolve it.

Furthermore, you can't resolve blanks.

Agreed that it just deals two damage if it blanks. The die just hangs out and can be rerolled again by another card or discard.

Side note, is there a rule that says you can't resolve blanks? There's just obviously no reason to do that...

There could be a scenario where your opponent claims the battlefield and has 1 die showing blank left on the board. Let's say it's a Vader die. Vader has 3 HP left and your only remaining die showing is a force throw showing a special. You can then use the force to turn the Vader die to 3 melee and force throw it back at Vader for game.

Obviously in the scenario above, you would wish desperately that blanks were resolvable to give your opponent as little options as possible.

Maybe the game creators have something planned for the future or maybe blanks were designed that way on purpose.
