One per ship, for as many ships as you can squeeze into the range limit. Seems simple enough.

In a standard game the correct answer is 7. An Epsilon TIE f/o is 15 pts add hyperwave com scanner for 1 pt and you still have enough pts for 7 naked Academy TIEs (84 pts).

A card ability can be triggered any time an opportunity allows, unless restricted by any " once per round... " text on the card. So each time a ship is placed within the Range 1-2 limit, Hyperwave Comm Scanner will trigger. You may only assign 1 token to that ship when it's placed.
