I flew it last weekend and did alright with it but it was in a 2v2 game that isn't a great representation of a regular 60 min 1v1 game (and my two opponents were new to the game). I flew it tonight for practice and did okay with it also. I flew against Kylo Ren in the Upsilon, a PtL "Pure Sabacc" Striker, and "Backdraft" in the TIE SF. I lost the Warden pretty quickly but Miranda held her own for a while and took out Ren, then Sabacc, and got rid of most of the hit points on "Backdraft." IWSYTDS gave me the crit that made my pilot skill 0 for the rest of the game and it became hard to get in on Backdraft from the side. I got super-bold and cocky at one point while directly behind Backdraft and intentionally did a hard turn onto some of my Cluster Mines with the intention of dropping a Conner onto him and ending the game. The Conner Net came up a tiny bit short though and I took a ton of damage from the mines from bad rolls. So the list didn't let me down tonight, I didn't fly it optimally.

I've had a small bit of practice with Miranda prior to that, once in a list comprised of Miranda, Braylan, and Tarn Misen that I got some advice here about. The second time was Super-Dash and Miranda. Both were just Miranda with C-3P0 and TLT SLAMming, no bombs. Last week and tonight were my first real experiences with bombs.

I'd say that my SLAMs have been decent and I have doing a great job evading arcs and holding off from firing to get a better position. Bombs are a bit new to me but I stripped three shields off Ren with mines tonight, landed a Conner on Backdraft earlier in the game before the failed Net towards the end, got a perfect Thermal Detonator hit, and landed a good Conner and Detonator last week too. I'd say the things that have me concerned that they may not be optimum choices are my choice of crew on the Wardan and some of the bombs/mines. I haven't really been getting too many of my bombs/mines off with the Warden.

I know that this list is probably very similar to some dual K-Wing lists and there isn't a ton of room to do a ton of things differently but are the Warden crew member and bombs what I want to be running? Should I try to trim some fat from both and get Biggs in there? Doing that may require dropping Miranda down to a second Warden though and I don't particularly like Biggs or his 'usefulness.'

Any assistance is appreciated.

Bomber K-Wings are tremendous fun to fly, and throw a lot of people off – however, with only two ships I think you will struggle to do enough damage to high-HP targets like the VCX-100 or Decimator. Miranda, while a fantastic pilot, adds considerably to the cost of the list, since without a Twin Laser Turret she struggles to make the best of her ability.

I agree entirely about Biggs, he's dull as dishwater. Instead, I'd suggest Ahsoka in a Captured TIE – free actions at the start of combat could land some nasty surprise bombs on unsuspecting high-PS pursuers, or add dice modification to a K-Wing that dropped a Conner Net that round. Additionally, it's a great place to hide Sabine and keep your source of free damage available for as long as possible – though it does make taking out enemy PS9+ pilots a priority.

Here's how I'd change the list:

Ahsoka Tano (Captured TIE)

-'Sabine's Masterpiece'

-Veteran Instincts

-Captured TIE

-Sabine Wren

22pts

Miranda Doni (K-Wing)

-Twin Laser Turret

-Conner Net

-Seismic Charge

-Extra Munitions

-Advanced SLAM

45pts

Warden Squadron Pilot (K-Wing)

-Conner Net

-Seismic Charge

-Extra Munitions

-Advanced SLAM

33pts

100pts

If you freed up some points, you could also put a bomb on the TIE (since Sabine adds a bomb slot), and use it with impunity since it doesn't blow your Captured TIE cover.

Dual kwing lists are pretty strong against ace lists.

But against lists with a lot of ships and/or hit points you can't do damage fast enough.
