Coordinating a bumped ship

By Goseki1, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Just looking for confirmation that if I bump with one ship I can use coordinate on my Upsilon to still let it use its action?

Yes.

You don't "still let it use his action". He still lost it, coordinate give him a free action, and by default in the base rule, only stress prevent free action.

Of course of course. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't talking bollocks to be honest

Nope, no bollocks being talked. Bumping causes you to skip the "Perform Action Step", it doesn't prevent you from taking actions.

Same with hitting an asteroid. Being stressed, however, prevents coordination (unless, say, you have Boost/Barrel Roll and Primed Thrusters).
