CR90 corvette renamed

By tenchi2a, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I do my best not to be offended or butt hurt about the changes they make, but it's almost as if Disney doesn't like the old fan base.

And if it's truly an Alderaanian vessel, the Tantive IV wouldn't have weapons. Remember, Alderaan has no weapons, Leia said so herself.

That's what I was thinking also.

Leia had a gun, and she knew how to use it. Must be at least a couple weapons....I'm thinking that's being interpreted a wee bit too literally and she probably was referring more to the notion of a standing military.

Or Leia is just outright lying to try to hide the fact that Alderaan supplies weapons to the Rebel Alliance. Her Deception was insufficient to fool Tarkin and Vader, especially with the 6 (or more!) Setback dice she earned from being on the Tantive IV that Vader directly pursued and trying (and failing) to use Deception to claim it was on a diplomatic mission. Leia was a lying liar that lies.

Lucasfilm used this Databank terminology themselves prior their purchase by Disney in the old Encyclopedia; canon reference books have already gone about given ships like the CR90 and the Venator their Legends designations back.

Leia said as well that they were on a diplomatic mission. And Alderan was obviously supporting the terrorists, so the "we have no weapons" was a lie just like Dantooine and diplomatic missions. It was a well known "fact" as well, because Alderaan kept the facade of pacifist since the end of the clone wars, while plotting to overthrow the emperor right from the beginning.

So you're saying that the population of Alderaan couldn't have voted to remove weapons of war while it's leader was actively plotting to overthrow the Empire? In Rogue One, Bail Organa he would go to Alderaan to tell his people that there would be no peace (quote paraphrased, can't remember exact wording). That's a strong implication the population of Alderaan had been hoping for a peace dissolution of the Empire and the return of the Republic and a strong implication that they are pacifistic.

Sure, cause pacifists are widely known as big fans of terrorists...

Wanting to avoid war doesn't equal pacifist, just common sense.

Isn't it ironic when faction within mandalorian society are better pacifist than the war weary people of Alderaan? *grin*
