Oh, is that what those are? They weren't especially intuitive when I had an opponent use them a while back. Kind of had to squint across the table.

Agreed. Personally I like how graphical and colorful they are at a glance, but personally I find them to be slightly confusing on the table, especially if your opponent isn't overly organized to begin with.
I agreed too. They are very pretty but when I played against them, they just sorta blended in with the game mat and were hard to see, especially the resource tokens. The 3D effect on them messes with the eyes. I have the Slingpaint tokens, which aren't nearly as pretty but they are very easy on the eyes and easy to pick up. I call them old man tokens.
I like the look of the slingpaint tokens. I like how they took the original tokens and made them shinny. My only concern is their size. One inch tokens seems like they would clutter an already full play mat. Do you play them in from of the cards versus on the cards?
I can put them on the cards with little issue. They are only slightly bigger than regular tokens. They are more vertical though, which makes them easy to see and pick up. It is easy enough to grab a handful at a time to put them back in their bag.
