Whats your Best Quadjumper List?

By CBS Ink, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I love how this ship can really mess with people but Im having trouble making a competitive list.

Anyone have a list they want to share?

So, um yeah. Quads move first, reduce ship by two agility (Dengar, who?). Two Zs have tracers to give everyone a TL. When one ship misses, it tosses a focus to the next ship (or quads who dont have a focus for attack since they TB, so on and so forth down the line. Op Spec also allows ships to get a focus after K-turning. Essentialy, Z's could kturn. Quads fire and miss, toss a focus to a tracer Z, who fires thread tracers and gets all of them a TL!

Wow! Thats a Crazy Swarm!

Yea, I have a feeling the only Quadjumper people are going to be using is the PS1 pilot.

no idea about Zuvio, dude is stupid expensive

but, for ultimate jank, there's https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Scum+and+Villainy&d=v4!s!230%3A27%2C224%2C127%2C204%2C145%3A-1%3A30%3A&sn=tug3

note, that's just the Zuvio (not sure what to slot in with him)

live the dream of using ability to cluster mine and then tractor some fool over them all :D

also you perma cloak and use the crew to swap out to a crane. Imo, if you're running Zuvio and his super expensive ass, you need the extra agility

Yea, thats what I was afraid of.

Its funny to say that 30 points is "too expensive" but when you only have 5 hull and 2 Green Dice, he really just needs to be a support to the rest of the squad.

Thanks again for your input. I do love the thought of Zuvio Pulling someone into the bomb he just placed. Thats Great!

I took the Manaroo/Asajj portion of Parratini, beefed them up a little, and then tossed Unkar Plutt in there to, potentially, bury someone in tractor tokens.

Unkar Plutt

Outlaw Tech, Pattern Analyzer, Tractor Array (so I'll get a focus and can still beam after a red)

Manaroo

Mindlink, Ketsu, Unhinged

Asajj Ventress

Mindlink, Latts, Shadow Caster, Gyro Targeting

That's 98 points...Dunno if it will be as good as I see it in my head, but I'm looking forward to trying it!

I ran a Plutt/Palob/Zuckuss last night against a U/B/Rex. Never managed to use any of the Quadjumper shenanigans, as my opponent focused him down first turn of shooting. Semi-Biggs effect, but a wee bit pricey. It's the range restriction on the Tractor Array that makes it so very difficult to use. I think the new Jumpie is going to be wonderfully trollsome, but it's going to have a hell of a learning curve. Maybe best used in the front of a swarm, in pairs?

I am liking what I see regarding the use of Cikatro (or whatever his name is) and Cloak/Crane. I think that will be the making of thus cute-ugly little bugger.

One that i jave been thinking of is this.

Sarco Plank could be worth a look in a mindlink list. His ability let's him ignore agility reductions (from other tractor beams, for example), and up to 4-6 dice while cloaked with a focus seems reasonable for keeping him alive.

Sarco Plank -18

Spacetug Array - 2

Cloaking Device - 2

Intel Agent - 1

Total - 23pts

I feel like Quadjumpers are, at best, worth up to One Quarter Portion (25pts) of your list. Anything more is probably not worth the investment.

is his name really plank?

holy hell, it is!

well that explains the mind link

But being cloaked adds 2 to you agility, how is that gonna work with Sarco's ability?

D'oh! :(

They are all PS5, and with Mindlink the action economy is amazing. Targetlocks and repositioning when necessary.

This is what I'm looking forward to trying. With three agility, two focus tokens and rerolls from Serissu, Sarco should be able to survive long enough to get into tractor range. There's still 4 points to spend after getting the basics of the list. I'll probably try Ketsu crew on Plank and maybe a hull or Stealth device on Serissu. I really want to throw a Deadman's Switch on Plank but I'm afraid that if he gets popped while engaging that it could be disastrous.

Upgrading one of the Scyks to an HLC is also an option.

Thanks Guys!

So I ran this yesterday against Vader / Duchess / Quickdraw, as my own variation of the first post on this list (thanks for the inspiration @CBS Ink!). It was surprisingly effective for me. I had placed a big asteroid right in the middle of the map, and managed to lure the Empire into engaging around. I managed to double TB both Dutchess and then Vader a few turns later, and stress them too. The XX-23 were a huge help in doing a one-turn slamfest on to Quickdraw to minimize the ability to return fire. I used IA on Asajj to see where the target was going to end up based from my maneuver and adjust the mobile arc accordingly. Ketsu on the QJ is exceptionally useful for me.

However, after this match, I think I'm going to change it up a bit to the following. I lost one or two chances to use STA on the QJ from doing a s-loop so Pattern Analyzer should be useful for that. I also found that the Lancer kept getting bumped into by the Empire (and yes, my opponent is very good at picking maneuvers, just not when stressed and/or tractor'd apparently) so BoShek should help with some annoyances.

it says "You May" so if it's better to be cloaked, use that agility, if better not to use it or the cloaking device busts, use his ability

only tractor beam. try to take quad alive, and make damage

I think three Jakku's with Assajj is going to be good. I'm going to try this list at the next store tourny

Jakku Gunrunner, Spacetug array, Outlaw Tech

Jakku Gunrunner, Spacetug array, Pattern Analyzer

Jakku Gunrunner, Spacetug array, Intelligence Agent

Zealous Recruit, autothrusters

Zealous Recruit, autothrusters

If you set up your formation right, you might be able to surprise your opponent by double tractor beaming your own quadjumper to get it in position to get the critical tractor beam on them.

Considering dropping Outlaw tech for 2 more iintelligence agents on the quads

Going to run this next week:

Zuckuss

V.I.

Dengar

Advanced Sensors

Inertial Dampeners

Mist Hunter

Tractor Beam

Asajj Ventress

Push The Limit

K4 Security Droid

Gyroscopic targeting

Jakku Gunrunner

With the Gunrunner, I hope to tractor someone and have it stick the next round where I could possibly light him up with Zuckuss and/or Asajj
