Everyone, enjoy being dominated by the sheer red-dice force of the Empire and being hopelessly reduced to a stressed and shriveled husk by Scum's endless supply of jank.

Oh, and you could try Suppressive Fire! That's something we haven't talked ourselves into never playing, yet...

Seriously, though, I'm excited for the Ups and Operations Specialist. The Empire does indeed strike back in this wave.

Nothing at all new in this article. Was there anything left unspoiled on any of these ships? I still have 3 hours before I can leave to go get one.

Nope. Not if you were looking at stuff on the squad builder sites. A lot of folks have had Wave 10 for almost a week now.

Upsilon dial, Zeb's cost, and Sarko Plank were the only things not spoiled by FFG if I remember correctly.

nerp

I did a quick read-through. NOTHING.

Except to say that the pressure put on distributors has waned. We've been seeing these ships on the table for over a week, at least. Last wave, there seemed a pretty clear release date that was adhered to - insofar as stores held midnight release tournaments. I guess it didn't help that we got the Striker and U-Wing early...

So with this wave released (and the new mats?), we are now just waiting on the C-ROC correct?

Has that ever happened before?

I can't really think of anything else not directly related to a movie release that there was actually a hard street date.

Those things were released a while ago, if I'm not mistaken. At least 2 weeks if not a month, right? I guess I didn't care about Zeb's cost or the Epsilon dial. I did know about Sarko Plank, though.

For the record, I think my suggested list from yesterday, using the same four ships, is a better fit!

... For a second, I thought they had actually taken it straight from my posts, hah.

I'm hitting the shop on the way home. Hopefully the not-to-be-named Canadian distributor got the stuff out to the shop and their delivery driver isn't sick... That said, finally got a U-Wing last weekend. I'm not without hope I may see a brightly painted TIE Fighter added to my collection. I have such plans for it...

Looking forward to the U-Wing and equipping Elite Pilots with Expertise.

hey actually reading through the article and when they come up with targeting synchronizer. is that possible to just use the TL of the shuttle? how i understand using a target lock is not " a game effect that instructs you to spend a target lock".

i though it could only be used on ordnance that instructs you to spend the TL but just spending it on another ship for a reroll is not a game effect that instructs me to do so. am i wrong?

Yes you are incorrect. Spending a tl to reroll dice is a game effect

Yes, all the time. :) They'll probably announce Wave 11 in the next week or so.

but it is me who decides to spend it and therefore reroll. and not the game effect that instructs me to.

UPS dial was already known, Zeb cost (we knew it would be 13 following TIE costs for imps) and what the PS5 Tug pilot did was unknown. Plank's ability would be amazing on practically any other small ship EXCEPT the Tug. It does let him ignore agility reducing abilities (since hes not rolling his agility majority of the time) but for the most part....kinda bleh. Tugboats wont be the victim of too many -1 agi moves anyway.

Theres so much crap that needs to be faq'd though.

That's kind of a chicken an egg thing. Rerolling dice IS a game effect (probably), to so do you must spend a target lock. Since Omega Ace works, which is also a "may" effect, it can be logically inferred that you can spend normal TLs. This confirms, at least, that pilot abilities work with TS.

Only hang up now is ambiguous definition of "game effect".

business as usual!

Pretty sure you're incorrect, though I've not seen the full discussion either way.

The reason why this works in the example is because of OA's ability.

You are still following a game rule where you spend a a target lock in order to do something. Choice is irrelevant.

Omega ace is a may spend game effect as well. What is the difference between spending for omega ace and spending to reroll?

I have to admit that I'm thinking of skipping the Bat Wing. I just don't like large based ships and have no real desire for the (possibly) OP condition card in it.

Hahah I appreciate your conviction but what about Operations Specialist? And Hyperwave Comm Scanner for the sweet, sweet Red Ace setup?

It looks like we were right in the assumption that you can use Targeting Synchronizer for things other than secondary weapons.

In the example in the article Omega Ace uses it for his ability.

There are some good cards in there. I have to admit that I flinch at spending $40 for a couple of cards. I'll probably just print off a bunch of the cards I want and not go to tournaments (still).
