Just came across this list, and although it isn't a recommendation for any particular show, I thought it is a good list to have.

I started watching this show on Netflix, it's a SyFy Original called Wynonna Earp. It's pretty good two shows in. I like the cast so far and the concept is pretty goo. In a nutshell as I understand it, Wyatt Earp killed 77 criminals with a gun he dubbed the peacekeeper. But every time one of his heirs reaches the age of 27 (no idea why that age yet) they all come back from hell. The only thing that can send them back is the original peacekeeper.

I'm guessing that one of the plot elements is that if the heir could kill all 77 that would break the curse. It's a single season of 13 episodes, and I don't know if there will be more, it's also based on a graphic novel.

That sounds cool.

I have to say that we are now behind in shows. Our tv broke and was under warranty. It took weeks to get that resovled and we ended up with a state of the art, brand new tv. It's 4k and curved and just amazing. It worked for an hour, and then broke. It took 2.5 weeks to get that repaired. So....now we FINALLY have a working tv after not having one for a month.

We did watch Kimmy Schmidt a bunch for that month. Now, we are catching up on the Walking Dead and Lethal Weapon. We have a few more of Kimmy Schmidt and the new season will be out in less than a month. Also, the wife started to watch that Scottish movie about the nurse who has to have sex to time travel (or whatever it is that all the ladies like).

It did get renewed. It will be back, which is good, its a fun show. I'm just trying to figure out which area of Texas its supposed to take place, with all the snow they had...

It takes place in Canada, the black badge has both the US and Canada flag on it. Apparently this is a departure from the comic.

I mean, it is clearly a Canadian production. I guess I just assumed because Earp is inherently an American thing.

I remember it took me a while to figure out that Orphan Black takes place in Canada.

I did the same thing, and they don't seem to make a big deal out of it.

But when Wynonna first met Dolls she commented about him being on the wrong side of the border, and if you look at the black badge, it has both flags on it. But other then that they haven't mentioned it much, and the fact that Wyatt Earp never was in Canada as far as I can tell makes the whole thing a bit odd.

Plus from what I can tell, the comic it's based on, she's actually a member of the Black Badge division in the US Marshals which hunts down supernatural threads rather than how in show she's just helping to defend her home town.

My wife and I liked this:

12 Monkeys. Not since X-files have I been theorizing about a show so much. I need to get caught up on Season 2. Weird stuff happened with my schedule, and I got behind and couldn't catch up.

Thanks. All of the ones in the first list have been listed and discussed previously, except Pushing Daisies. I've not heard of that one.

I will say that I started watching Iron Fist on my own. I had heard it sucks and I went in with the thought that it would be bad. I like it! Oh, it's the weakest of the Marvel Netflix shows, but it's not as bad as what people say. I think I'm on Ep 9?

I think a number of the complaints about it have little to do with how good the show itself is. It was IMO not the best of the run, but IMO the worse one was Jessica Jones, which I just didn't care for much. If it was more than 13 episodes long I don't know I could've put up with her long enough to finish it.

Really? Jessica Jones was my favorite. Funny....

Have you tried The Americans? The first 4 seasons are free on Amazon Prime.

Its a pretty compelling spy story with anti-heroes you can't help but root for.

Pushing Daisies is a weird, quirky, fun comedy that is just a visual treat. It sort of reminds me of a Wes Anderson film in TV Form, with lots of playful whimsy and some dark comedy. One of my favorite shows, and a great one to watch with a spouse.

Here's a five-second synopsis: The main character, whom the narrator refers to as "The Piemaker" is a baker who owns a quirky pie shop and has an ability to bring dead things back to life by touching them, but there are some stipulations and consequences to using his power. He's teamed up with a Private Investigator who is aware of his gift to solve murders (by briefly reanimating the murder victims to talk to them) and then attempting to solve or prove the murder.

For me, it sort of went way against my expectations. After watching Into the Badlands, Iron Fist's action choreography just makes me sad.

I really had no idea what to expect as I didn't even know who Jessica Jones was. I really liked the bad attitude she had and all the real world stuff she had to deal with.

I haven't seen Into the Badlands, and maybe it's good that I didn't or else I wouldn't like Iron Fist.

I'm not big into Iron Fist, but I knew enough to know he was a master martial artist. So I had very high expectations. I mean, this was kind of where my expectations were at: (warning a tad bloody)

Well....I'm a contractor and don't have vacation days. So, the family went on Spring Break without me. They drove down to New Orleans. That left me with spare time to watch tv! I actually did a lot of podcast stuff, but did get some tv time in. I finished Iron Fist and was satisfied with it. I don't watch Badlands, so I don't know what I'm missing! I'm looking forward to all the Marvel Defenders getting together.

I also started Legion and love it! It is a show my wife would hate. In fact, we tried and after 5 min she told me to turn it off. Well, I'm not caught up yet, but am on ep 7? It's been bouncing around the back of my head for a couple days.
