Forgive for simple questions

i have played through the core set with an investigator, will now play the curse and carnival decks with same investigator.

i have received the Dunwick legacy with has new investigators. question : is this the end of my first investigator and I start fresh and as there is no example of decks I have to build my own. Are all previous campaign cards now obsolete.

thanks

trying to get handle how this lcg works

If you'd like 'basic' decks (and some introductory strategy) for the Dunwich's 5 new investigators, go here: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/arkham-horror-the-card-game/

Scroll down to Support: Player resources > Investigator Decklists.

'Standard' rules would have you begin The Dunwich Legacy with fresh, new investigators. These are the rules which the game's challenge is balanced around. Players are invited to do their own thing though and, if you really want to take your Night of the Zealot character and throw them immediately into other adventures after scenario 3, nothing is stopping you. Just be aware that you're outside the strict 'intended experience' there, however so slightly.

Similarly, you'd typically need to insert Rougarou and Carnevale *between* a campaign's scenarios (see page 3 of their instruction cards), or otherwise play them using standalone rules (p19, RulesRef) . Again though, apply your purchases in whatever way you wish.

Just my personal opinion: Don't cling too tightly to some notion of a 'main' character with a permanent progression that you bring into every single game. Once you've 'resolved a story', put a pin in it and close that book. Reset the investigator(s) and go again, jump directly into standalones with their extra punishing chaos bags, do stuff again with other lvl. zeroes, etc.

Main thing is: do what it takes to enjoy your purchase.
