[RPG] Tricking Amaterasu?

By Kinzen, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

IIRC, the twelfth month was, like, a "free space" for great heroes and such. For example, I'm fairly sure that the twelfth month was named 'Kaiu' in the Crab lands.

Thanks! I always wondered if there had ever been a good explanation for that. I figured the idea of a "formal calendar" probably wasn't introduced into the game before the idea of Ryoshun had been introduced, so I didn't know if they had ever bothered to acknowledge there was a point Rokugan didn't know about him... and I am not sure how much people know about him even in main canon even with his name placed there....

A lot of Rokugan seems to have been created in a manner where a writer introduces a brand new idea that had never affected anything previously, but then it is immediately considered that everyone knew about this thing, it was always part of deep history and it just happened that it was the first time it was mentioned.... regardless if previous events or actions seemed to suggest that this new idea wasn't true.

Or, other times, weird actions are taken that supposedly bring things back to the status quo even though... it doesn't really make sense why there are no major lasting changes due to it.

It would be interesting if in the actual world of Rokugan, that's how things were supposed to work... that if someone makes a change to the world or even just historical documents or decides on a new law, then it can alter the world in such a way that the thing has always been true and history alters itself accordingly altering the present as a result.

Hah! There's my solution. In any given Great Clan's lands, the twelfth month is named for their Clan Thunder.

Or Shinsei, maybe.

So quick question why would she leave the heavens ? Why didn't she go get all the kami back after the fall then ? What makes this time worth leaving ?
