They are a potent pair, bur their abilities don't quite synergise. ISYTDS triggers when a ship suffers a critical hit (even to shields) specifically "from an attack".

Vaders ability causes your opponent to suffer a critical damage, but it is explicitly not from at attack, so Kylo can't trigger off Vader, most likely deliberately.

That's not to say they don't go well together. RAC with Vader crew, gunner and Kylo crew will be able to use Kylo as an action to give the condition, attack once to strip tokens, attack again and probably give out a crit, that Kylp makes sure will be blinded pilot, then Vader for another crit. The damage you're suffering from Vader is mitigated by not suffering it from the blinded ship.

Slap VI on him, pair him with VI, ACD, FCS Kallis Whisper and you have a scary potent list with a one point bid for Whisper.

I prefer VI Chiri with Hot Shot Co-Pilot and Juke Vader in the Advanced. Once Chiri blows a focus off a target then Vader can put the crit over the top even if the Admiral misses.

However, the action cost of Kylo Ren is steep. While he'll be somewhat useful I'm not sure he'll be in a meta sense.

I'm wondering if there's any justification to running Kylo on a TIE Shuttle so you can have a full featured list without him taking actions on more expensive ships.

I suspect he's referring to Vader as a pilot (while ATC isn't technically exclusive to the Vader, I still feel he's the only Advanced that has the action economy to support it. Maybe PTL Juno thanks to the extra greens, but the ARC only gets away with PTL because of the Aux arc.

I've been hoping to fit in ATC Juno in a list with Major Stridan with Systems Officer, but I've never been entirely satisfied with how to kit Stridan out and the third ship.

I think we need another ship for the Resistance, but it would be cool to do a Episode 7 only event. First Order now has 3 ships and Resistance just one.....OK...two with the Falcon.

I had a great deal of success with ATC Juno... She's relatively cheap for an ace, needing just VI so she can maneuver better and be rather dodgy... Get a target lock once and hold it until the target eventually, painfully, dies... Her being able to hit the breaks and go one forward enabled me to panic a friend into flying Wedge into the path of a CR90 trying to get her off his tail - that ended spectacularly.

Then I ran her in tournaments and hit the emergence of three U-boats... and TLTs... and too many things that just didn't care that I outmaneuvered them... I want to go back and fly Juno again, but I think she's now on my fun lists and maybe epic lists only...

I mean, FFG can't really be blamed for the lack of Resistance and Scum Episode 7 ships. That's more the fault of the Mouse for having such a slim variety of ships in the movie. I think this wave brings us up to covering every ship we saw that is to the scale of X-Wing.
