The last IA news update was 13 January, almost 3 weeks ago. Can't remember the last time there was such a lull.

(there seems to be a lack of news across several major lines at the moment, or is it just me?)

I haven't updated it since the droids announcement yet but will. This will give you the history of the news though.

There was about a three week lull between Bespin and Wave 7 being announced. I'm honestly surprised we got the next wave announced so early after Jabba's Realm, didn't expect anything for a little while. We probably won't hear much more until the Hera wave is closer or they announce the summer small box.

Armada was 16th of December... If you don't count the Organised Play article for the Tournament Regulations, or the Q1 Kit on 23rd of December.

The next news we see will be a series of preview articles for the new blister packs, they always release them closer to the actual release date for the figures so that the hype and anticipation is high right before they hit the shelves. I am assuming that these packs will come sometime late March/early April, so we will probably see the first article mid Feb.

Jabba's Realm has only been out for a month and we already got the announcement on the next wave, with additional spoilers on Team Covenant just a week ago.

I guess we're all just waiting for news of the app, but looking at what happened to Plaid Hat games and their Specter Ops companion app after they were purchased by Asmodee, I'm not super hopeful that we're going to get any news on that anytime soon.

Does this game NEED another expansion any time soon? The last wave is pretty huge.

I'm glad the newest annoucenement is just a game mat.

Try being ab LOTR LCG fan around this time last year. We didn't get any updates for three months!

I don't think we "need" anything, but even once we get news, it'll be several months before we get the product.

What's exciting is that we're due for some small box news in roughly a month. Death Star, Endor, or something surprising? Can't wait to find out!

We just got a massive wave of releases, a rules update that turned competitive skirmish play on its head and we already know what's coming for the game in about a quarter forward.

I'm not sure what 'news' you want to see TBH.

I'm still waiting for Wave 7 and 8..at least we have new release dates (some shops say Feb. 10, some Feb. 20..and some are less optimistic and predict march. Oh and we will get Wave 8 before 7??)

So yeah.. I'm fine without new spoilers or the announcement of the new stuff.

Just bumping this a bit... a little disappointed we haven't seen anything about future content since the wave announcement over a month ago... fingers crossed for a preview next week!

Its likely we won't hear much until the three weeks before release, and release might only be April.

What I'm more interested in right now is a new FAQ

I guess it's not just future content I'm interested in - I'm disappointed there hasn't been any articles either, on builds, play styles, or interviews etc.. it's just silent, which for a flagship game fields odd for such a long period of time.

(I know there's been tourney info but that doesn't really count!)

I didn't, but there was also no point in bringing it up, because:

1) IA has been similarily delayed.

2) My point was made as it was, and didn't need further nose-rubbing in another forum

Well I am jjust getting into IA

Another week goes by without a sniff of news, or previews, or design articles....hmm... I hope it's because there's something really big coming soon!

I don't mind not having news every week, but an article or two with sample builds, interviews, focus on a character or something similar would be nice to have at least every other week.

I'm thinking FFG is just hugely backlogged right now. They're going through some growing pains.

I'm not saying that we're getting any news today, but I wouldn't completely count it out, either.

Also, I'd expect news on Wave 9 (the summer small box) within 2 weeks.

It seems that as far as news goes, the late 2015 through 2016 calendar seems pretty reliable at predictions. We got news of The Bespin Gambit on March 4th last year. Next Friday is March 3rd- I'd wager we'll either get it then, or a week after.

So yeah, I'd say a big announcement is coming.

Wave 9 is the Droid/Hera/Jawa reinforcement wave, already announced, waiting for preview articles and going from In Development to At the Printer. I don't think we will get an announcement about wave 10 before that happens.

It would also be nice to get the next FAQ.
