Right now, it depends heavily on the role I envision my ship filling. In a Mon Mothma list, where they're usually the alpha strike and often trying to kill ships before shields are completely gone, I like getting the crits in there early and often. In my Cracken list, where TRC90 are already overloading shields, I like the MC30 as an executioner, which suits ACMs.
Sato ACM MC30 Scouts have me intrigued. Similar philosophy as TRCs: pound the damage early and often.

Yes, it does.
With MC30's specifically, APT doesn't significantly improve your chances of popping (non-Motti) flotillas, at least out the sides. What you do need is H9's.

I'm working on a list built around a couple of these and Salvation, with IO on them all. I haven't been able to get it on the table more than once, but I think it's got super nasty potential. Especially once the 30's get in close, you're looking at a ton of blacks...
