You have to heat up the bend piece to make the material soft, then you can bend it into shape and let it cool down i normally do this with hot and cold water.
Unpainted Models
If you heat the plastic gently...with a hairdryer, it very slightly melts thin parts (those that typically bend) and you can nudge the spears and such to straighten them. Its also good for fixing miniatures that have an unnatural lean to them because they were bent during shipment. Just heat the legs up a bit and apply some pressure with your fingers for a few seconds until the plastic cools off again.

bonus question for you (and thanks for answering to both of you by the way) : do I have to heat the mini up with the lowest heating level of the hairdryer or do I have to heat it with the max heating level ? (sorry my english can be good when speaking about the Godess of the universe and the mysteries of the shrines of Chaos, but when coming to hairdryer technical vocabulary, I'm like a goblin lost alone in a city full of angry dwarves...)
The first time, I'd start with the lowest setting and keep it a half of arms length away, then move it a bit closer and closer until the plastic feels softer. If you get too close and it still doesn't really melt, turn the setting up and then repeat. Once it works, you will know what it takes to get the job done and you can just do it at that setting from that distance. Rule of thumb: better to use less heat than risk melting the detail away from your toys.

I had once the problem with minis from daysofwonder and just had to plundge my minis in quite warm water before pulling them out, straightening them up and then putting them under cold water to harden the plastic. Is it a good solution or is it history ?
They do pretty well if you dip them in hot water, straighten, then cold water.
Personally, I just replace them with styrene or brass rod.
It's the biggest weakness in FFG's figures, and I confess I wish they'd design around it better.
Sometimes you can get creative. My Descent minion ettin came with a broken off arm (wielding the club) so we fit it into his other hand and glued it so now it looks like he's beating heroes with his own severed arm. What a badass...
Also in owning every single Descent expansion, that's the ONLY mini that's come damaged, so I feel pretty confident on these Runewars Minis
thanks to everyone for your precious advices. The only three things with descent minis were one head, one pinch and one wing broken on three different minis. Nothing that a bit used hobbyist could not handle with glue and patience (oh did I tell you that delving into the hobby taught me a bit more of patience ? Yes, after having waited for a damn train for 3h20 just because my dad wanted me to go to school.... ...., I couldn't figure there could be things, later in my life, that would teach me to be even more patient.. ).

Stupid parents wanting you to be educated. Pshh.

And the school I went to was the most horrible thing in the world for me... Well till i graduated, became a teacher and saw with my own eyes that the today reality is somehow.... well.... other than what I lived a decade ago.
You'r French you said right? I remember being in a school exchange to France and the school was surrounded by a fence and it had a guard that you had to show you're timetable if you want to leave, that was ra ally strange for me. Oh that was in Paris by the way, and the English school I was on a exchange had a cantina something our small town/village school didn't have.

To be exact, i'm Belgian , a french-speaking one. No idea what kind of school you were at even if I have lived two years in Paris. My school had a cantina but the people out there were so insulting because of their stupidity at that time. But well, that does not get us any closer from the actual topic I'm afraid. But yes, to me my teen life has been... ... rubbish, thank to my games, it was not a total waste of time
. that's why I'm still a spoiled rotten kid at the age of.... ooops no, that could appear as outrageous to the reader to reveal it as FFG revealingRunewars Wave 0 prices some days ago
I came across this video that is not in English but shows, by far, the best up close video of the models painted. It's good to determine whether the quality is up to your standards. Enjoy!
they are nice those minis
they seem to do the job quite perfectly. Thanks to
@Oloh
for his post, at least it could reassure those among us that have had little chance to see a close up of these characters. Now, I'm confirmed a bit more (like I needed it anymore, just the rules to read carefully before crashing my money blindly and ridiculously in hours of mini gluing, painting and playing while Humanity as a
nearly
whole is getting a lot more crazy and good for internment.

If it's close ups you want then here's a link I've been holding on to.
Nice find and even in my language.
So he is saying that the miniatures come mostly assembled, 1-2 pieces most, can be just plugged together or can be glued together, you can get rid of mold lines/flash with a hobby knife but he headn't that much, he really likes Ardus and the rider of the carrion lancer he likes his face and think he is enjoying himself.
Materialwise he said it's harder than other older FFG games like Doom, Heras of War and the older Descent games for him it it's very similar to the material/hardness of Dungeon Saga and the Walkind Dead Miniatures game.
And here it the link to their flicker gallery .
@Iceeagle85 Danke schön für deine erklärung ;-) I know a bit of german, nearly understood 50% of what He said. Nederlandisch/Dutch helpt me a lot maybe... anyway, beautiful minis, let's wait one more month hopefully.
These are pre-production models that they used for their demos and may not reflect final production quality.

So we still haven't seen teh final product? By the way where do you know that from, he doesn't mention that.
Bitte schön, ich helfe gerne. You do seem to know quite some languages.

At Gencon some of the models and I think the trays were 3D printed. It was in one of the demo videos.

French, Dutch, English, Spanish, German....not on equal levels each but still.. I'm beginning Itialian and would like once and for all start japanese and sanskrit. I'm currently on an academy project (hopefully) that will imply for me to be able to read latin and ancient greek... so yes, languages and me are somehow in connection...but as I said somewhere here, I'm more a sprinter than a long term runner so I can be on fire and going full speed at the beginning but getting very very bored around the 1st quarter of the race or the half if I'm constant enough... But even here on this forum I'm looking for some words on online dictionaries to be sure to not say complete stupidities or not speak english like... well... you know... And from reading all of you even the non native english speakers, I learn a lot of words and expressions, so Thank to all of you
back to the topic anyway, if that is only pre-final material, then I have high certitudes that the final product will be as good or even a bit better than that which is already another good point...So... where are the rules to be read and venerated like the holy bible... well maybe the Bible is somewhat deeper than a game rule book but...ok back to sleep.

Excited about that, assuming of course he's talking about the new Doom game which is about the height of the FFG miniatures.

I know that but that doesn't necessarily mean this minis painted by a German painting studio are pre production models, perhaps FFG got a shipment of release miniatures and gave them away for reviews.
About the Doom game I think he talks about the old one, if I remember correctly he is talking about older FFG games while making his comparison.

I'd agree with you, except that they look exactly like the gencon minis in all the demo videos. All I am really trying to say is don't be too optimistic.

Possibly but i would say i wouldn't be able to spot minor difference between those too in video form, if they are pre production models i hope the end result will be as close as possible because i like them.
@Elrad +1 for Japanese. That's what I got my minor in.
