As the Experiment started moving towards the Dormitory Zoey slipped in behind it. It is now in the Student Union and time is running out. Zoey is in the Quad. With the last action of her last she dynamites the Experiment (three down), Zoey has been nursing that dynamite from her opening hand. Next turn Zoey moves into contact with the Experiment with her first action. She has guard dog and her marvellous cross. Zoey absorbed part of the attack of opportunity with Toto and exhausts her cross (five down). At a cost of only 1 I think Zoey's cross is great value. Compare it to Agnes' at three points. With second action I load up the fire axe, but still have a single resource left, and use my last viscous blow, success (seven down). Use my last resource on fire axe to get fists to 6, success (nine down). The Experiments turn to attack. Toto and 'Jazz' share the pain. In fact that's the end for guard dog but it brings the final point to nail the abomination. With her cross and loyal dog Zoey can hand out the punishment. First time I made a mess of it trying to get in front of the Experiment to stop reaching the Dormitory. But its easier to follow it, you have just enough time to make your play.

Great work! Shes fun to play with and Zoey's Cross is an excellent card.
Zoey is indeed fun and quite a fighter when she gets equipped. In my recent play through together with Rex they managed to take down the Experiment in two rounds (most of it being Zoey). The basic highlights:
Zoey (equipped with her cross, a machete and aided by a Beat Cop) moves to the Science building where the experiment is rampaging. Exhausts her cross and does 1 damage. Attacks with machete and uses vicious blow (total combat value for test: 7). Succeed and inflect three more damage (cumulative damage now 4). Follows this up with another attack (combat value just 6) and succeed dealing two more damage (cumulative damage now 6).
The next round doom advances and experiment moves to the Quad. Zoey took some damage, but fed most of it to beat cop. She then moves to the quad and deals one more damage with her cross (cumulative now 7). This is followed by two more successive attacks with the machete which brings the cumulative damage to 11. At this point Rex, armed with a Fire axe and precisely three resources moves to the quad for his first action and then attacks with the axe. He uses all three resources to boost his combat to 8; the attack succeeds and deals the last two damage to the experiment. Take that science experiment gone wrong!
Ricedwlit, I'm surprised Rex didn't manage to discover the Alchemical Concoction. As a pair, Zoey and Rex, are well equipped for this winning this scenario by defeating the Experiment. I played Zoey solo and its very hard even with Perception to find the Concoction, for Rex or Daisy though, not so difficult.

Actually Rex was on his way to pick up the Alchemical Concoction - but I first delayed to get all the clues from the Dormitories (both to get the victory point but also to provide a backup in case things went awry). By the time he was on his way to the lab Zoey had pretty much finished off the experiment. Cue the final entry of Rex with the Fire Axe to finish things off in a more fitting fashion. ![]()
I see, its certainly a well written scenario that allows a solo seeker to finish off an elite enemy with the Alchemical Concoction. I wonder if others have taken down the Experiment with Daisy or Rex solo. I also like how the Whippoorwills tie into the new cards Liquid Courage and Clarity of Mind.
