Wiki site?

By Willange, in Runewars Miniatures Game

Does anyone know of (or want to start) a wiki page from the upgrade, unit, scenario, etc cards that we know of so far? Kind of like the xwing/armada wikias we have now or possibly something akin to ringsdb thronedb and that kind of thing? I wanted to review some of the spoiled stuff, but it's a pain trying to remember which forum they were posted on and what not. It'd be great to have some kind of community site where we could discuss the cards and stuff or at least view them. My dream would be that it also had an army maker to store your builds too *dreaming*

EDIT: I'm in the process of making runewars.wikia.com styled after the armada wiki. This is by no means the only community tool we need, but I'll be working over the next week or so on getting all the current info up there, and I'll continue to keep it update from that point on.

EDIT 2: Recognize as well there are a lot of details we can't add yet. For instance, I have no idea what the names of the upgrade types are... those will be added when known.

EDIT 3: It's at runewars.wikia.com

I would be very interested in that...also the potential for an army builder there as well would be cool.

Well, if it not yet done by anyone why not think about it ? I'm pretty free these days so I can help out if anyone want to take an initiative. But does anyone know if there isn't already that kind of stuff out on the web ?

I'd have no idea how to make one, however, for whoever decides to start one I'd recommend starting with page 2 of the Team Covenant Gencon Demo thread. There are images of a few upgrades and unit formation costs with available upgrades.

I found one in spanish a while back, but I can't find it now for some reason... So as far as I know, the answer is no.

At the very least we need some thread where we can spam every tibit of information we find into.

Okay well I'm in the process of making a wikia page for now (so no army builder right away), so I'll start putting stuff onto that in my free time throughout the week.

If I can help just say "Hi :) " (btw, the smiley is purely optional) i'll see if I can do something during my free time as well

Hi :) ! I'll post on here again once I've got it in a basically workable state, but as time goes on I'm sure I'll need help getting certain images early because I know I won't be at events like GenCon, and I may just get things wrong or miss other things entirely. But yeah, we'll get to that point soon enough I'm sure, but I can't really do the leg work on the site till tonight. Fortunately, there's not too much to do just yet as we still know relatively little.

I'll help with this too!

Hi :) ! Ok, take your time, no need to rush, we still want to have fun, not getting into madness like or fellows who play Arkham horror and co. (while I owe myself the base game of Arkham Horror and the recent LCG but I still feel myself.... ^^)

Like many, I wanted to know what the background was when I got interested in this game, so I poked around. Here's the wiki I found: http://terrinoth.wikia.com/wiki/Terrinoth

Any preference on whether we use Runewars or RunewarsTMG in the URL for the wiki? I started making a Runewarstmg.wikia.com since that's the proper name, but Runewars would be simpler to remember at first glance and (as far as I know) isn't taken yet. I don't think it matters a lot, but I wanted to know if you guys have a preference.

EDIT: I went and made both in case we end up deciding to switch to one or the other.... I just get rid of the unused one.

EDIT 2: I'm thinking I'll do most of my work on Runewars instead of RunewarsTMG if no one has any objections. It's just cleaner and an easier name.

let's keep your proposition, after all we will put it in our favorites websites so no need to remember :D

Runewars is safe, there hasn't been an expansion for that game in a long time.

Okay, I'll be making updates to http://runewars.wikia.com/ so watch it over the next week or so and then let me know what else needs adding if I miss anything or just add it yourself!

I'll second this. An Army Builder file is always a good thing and with the iOS app you get a portable army list that is well laid out and includes weapons and special rules if done correctly.

I've worked on several wiki. Let me know id assistance is needed.

Some months ago, the guy who created the Armada Warlords app declared that he would also like to make one for Runewars. I hope he pulls through because the Armada one looks amazing.

I tried to edit the page conerning the skeleton archers expansion pack but the pictures we have here on the site are not of such a good quality... But before touching to anything maybe we could organize the things ? So we don't find ourselves doing three times the same work ? Don't know.

I refound this old post, which is probably the most complete lore we have of the universe until they announce the lore book they are working on.

a very useful lot of information out there. Thanks Muz333 :)

So for now I think the plan is to just post the best and most accurate just we have so far. Some of the cards won't look good until a better preview image is given or until we can scan actual cards. For now I'm just trying to get it all in their. We can organize it and make it pretty as we go, but for my part it will take a little while to get it all done, so feel free to jump on in

What do we want to cover?

Lore and Background

Races

Armies

Tactics

Products

Rules

I could name more. Try to create some basic templates for the look and feel of a page. What size is the title, is there a box around the contents, what sub headings should be on every page. Users can then use these templates to start their pages to help a uniformity to the information. Using a color code (a band of color at the side or top) to visually link all pages of the same type can help as well (Red for Tactics, Green for Lore and Background)

I think to begin the priorities are more-or-less as follows:

- All known products and cards (I got about halfway through that last night, and I have almost all the images on my machine)

- Basics of rules (I know I won't be too good at this as I'm really bad at explaining rules in concise fashion, so if anyone else is feeling more confident...)

I say those are the priority for now because that's really all we can comment on with the exception that we know a lot of lore. There is, however, a Terrinoth lore wiki that was pointed out already in this thread. Should we just link to that?

As for Armies, Tactics, Races, Strategies, etc. I think those would be great to have, but we will be limited to templates and stubs for now on a lot of that till we get the rest of the info. If you'd like to go ahead and make those templates, that would be fantastic!
