Hotshot Bossk ?

So here is a list I came up with.

I like that its easy for Bossk to trigger Gunner by simply Zuckussing the Defenders Blank Dice to force them to roll more evades (if you need).

Then with the second shot, light them up with the usual Bossk/Zuckuss Shenanigans.

I also like how Dengar is the Clean Up crew with 4-LOM to shoot down targets that still cling onto their Evade Tokens.

Also, the fact that they are both PS9 helps out in defense because Bossk can strategically target ships that can put in a lot of damage to Bossk or Dengar. (Or remove ships before they fire)

You could save the points on gunner and go with an Aggressor and the IG crew on Bossk. This would help you upgrade to HLC. You lose the PS9 synergy but it's a points savings. Or you could adaptability down to 6 to match the IG-88B.

Hmmm. I always thought that Bossk with a Mangler was better than an IG with HLC. More Hit Points, Hight PS, Larger Firing Arc, Bossk's ability to hit and add a damage, and crew options.

I also don't think Hotshot Co-Pilot is good unless you are shooting first. Plus, I don't think Hot-Shot is being used to its potential unless you shoot twice with Gunner.

I meant keep Bossk but pair with IG88B. I get the whole PS timing, but you can still have Bossk hit first with Mangler, gunner (with the IG crew) then use the Aggressor's HLC to mop up.

Oh, I see what you meant. Yea, thats pretty good.

Gosh, I hate to see a 360* Dengar with Title go away though. hmm. I guess I've never liked a Large Base Ship with only a normal firing arc.

I don't think your points are right. IG crew doesn't cost five. How about this slight change:

it drops the bomb in favor of expertise for more HLC mods. With the last point you may want BMST.

I like the idea of Dengar being in there and having them both at PS9.

The only thing I would say is, whats the point of the mangler on Bossk? Gunner only lets you perform a primary weapon attack and it seems from your original post that you intention for the first shot is to have it miss and strip a focus token? So by dropping it you would be saving 4 points and making your attack less likely to him (which seems to be the plan).

I'm also not sure about 4-lom on Dengar. If you shoot first with Bossk, your opponent should be wise to the fact that there is no point holding back an evade token as 4-lom will stop them spending it anyway, therefore they will spend it on Bossk's gunner attack (unless they don't need to which is unlikely with zuckuss making them re-roll evades).

For those points saved you can upgrade 4-lom to K4 (+2) at which point you may consider that you no longer need PTL (although its not a bad choice) and can go for another EPT, or use the points for some sort of mod or ilicit?

I guess my reasoning for Mangler Cannon was that if the target was at Range 1, I can shoot with the Mangler on the first shot with 3 Dice instead of 4, increasing my odds of missing. Then Shoot with the Primary on the second gunner shot. But I now realize that I could simply put on the 1pt Tractor Beam to do the same thing... Hmmm you make a good point about that.

I did play test this a bit and found that Bossk doesn't have any Dice Modifications after stressed, which I found was a huge problem. So, I think I will probably put Predator on him. But by doing so, He goes back down to PS7, negating him being able to shoot first.

The more I look at it and play test it, the more Im thinking I need to go with the Aggressor.

I added Predator onto Bossk for the Dice Mods and Inertial Dampeners on the Aggressor. I also upgraded the Seismic Charge to Proximity Mines on the Aggressor, again, to discrouage my opponent from trailing me.

Thoughts?

Are you opposed to BMST? I think there is still a place for it. Ryan usually runs PTL. Dengar always has stress. Plenty of ways to trigger it. Plus with PTL on the Agressor you aren't losing too much for action economy. Unless you want to put pressure on him too.

Personally, I have tried and tried to like BMST, but I have never been able to get it to work. Every time I try to make it work in a clutch situation it fizzles out.

A 50% chance isn't good enough for me anymore. Good suggestion though. :)

Also, I really like the idea of an Inertial Dampener on the Aggressor. I guess I'm really paranoid about keeping the opponents in front of him! LOL

I guess it's good for the times where that sloop won't fit. A guy here runs the D for the extra maneuverability with the sloop. Not an option here but totally catches you off guard.

I just realized that IG88's ability is to shoot again with a Cannon... Im just scrapping this whole build.

Im forcing it to work and its just not feeling right.

actually you can fit Glitter Crack B with the same bossk you have above except move feedback to dampeners.

edit: and of course adding the mangler cannon.

I think that actually has legs tbh

I was thinking I could even put A score to Settle in there instead of Crackshot. That would really help IG but Mostly it would help Bossk.
