Prized Possession question

By wakefieldbw, in Star Wars: Destiny

Does the opponent's character die need to be in their pool to be removed by Prized Possession?

"After you play this upgrade, you may remove an opponent's character die and place it here. It is not rolled by any character and does not return to its character unless this upgrade leaves play."

You cannot do anything to dice that have not been rolled out into the pool. So yes, to prize possession a character die you must wait until it is rolled out into the pool.

That is not said anywhere... you can also pick it from the enemys card, but it would bevmore effective to pick it from dicepool as your opponent would have wasted an action already for this die...

Actually you cannot remove it from a character's card.

Page 19 of the Rules Reference Guide under the heading Removing Dice:

  • A die cannot be removed unless it is in a player’s dice pool.

Prized possession states:

After you play this upgrade, you may remove an opponent's character die and place it here. It is not rolled by any character and does not return to its character unless this upgrade leaves play.

Therefore to remove the die it must be in the dice pool, and in order to get there it must have been rolled out.

Sorry, forgot these point as I only remove rolled dice always to hit my enemy hard! ;)
