So correct me if I am wrong but the way I am reading the rules, if Centerpoint is unoccupied (or only has a rebel outpost on it) then one objective is Independent Station. However, the other objective is listed as +1 Objective card. By my reading of the rules regarding objectives this means that the defender need only select ONE of their objective cards to add to the pool. This in turn means that when the assaulting player "chooses" the non-campaign themed objective that they have to pick the one and only normal objective card in the pool. Which in turn means the defender can do something ludicrous like Advanced Gunnery. Am I reading this wrong?
Centerpoin in CC
The Defending Player forms a Pool of Objectives, which are equal to the Number of + objective cards listed from their choices, and the Specific Objectives listed.
IN which case, if the point states
"Independant Station" and "+1 Objectives"
Then Player 1 will have a choice of 2 Cards.
Either Independent Station or the one Objective Card (of ther fleets 3) that Second Player has provided.
It has to come out of the 3 you selected with your fleet in the first place... (Unless you have Skilled Spacers, of course)
Edited by DrasnightaSee the plus keeps throwing me off. I feel like it is saying you have to play with the campaign objectives PLUS one regular card selected from 3 or 2 or 1
Good lord is that a weight off my back hahaha!
I know it's wrong but playing with two objectves seems fun.
Contested Independent outpost, where it's shooting at you while you try to control it.
