Basic rules questions

Hello, 2 questions

1)

Can a ship get more than one face-up damage card in the same attack if the dice show more than one critical hit?
For example: if i roll 3 critical hits and my opponent does not have any shield or defense token for the attacked hull zone, will he then take 3 face-up damage card, or just 1 face-up and 2 face-down damage cards.

2)
When a ship have moment 0 it cannot use any defense tokens.
If i block my opponent with a ship so he cannot move, for example: the opponents ship has for example speed 3, but my ship is right in front so a collision occurs and the opponents ship gets temporary speed 0, can he still use defense tokens because the speed dial is set to three, or will he not be able because his speed is temporary reduced to 0?

Thanks a lot!

1. No. Only the first card is face-up with the standard crit effect. (XX-9 and Fire Control Teams alters this.)

2. His speed would be 3 so he'd still get to use defense tokens, even though he didn't move becasue of the ram.

3. Put these posts in the Rules subforum and Dras appears with painted miniatures to answer your questions. He is the rules genie.

1: No, you get to use one critical effect if you have at least one or more uncancelled Critical die faces. The default critical effect is first damage card face up, you may use that or another critical effect if you appropriate upgrades.

2: Being blocked doesn't affect the speed dial, and the speed dial being 0 is the test for losing access to defence tokens
