I'm in the middle of watching the video on YouTube. It looks as though the standard of gaming was pretty high.

At the end of your last game, if you had taken your second sab and gone after his 1 hp sab rather than attack Luke, you could have maintained contest on the objective by moving back after the shot, as well as blocked Luke from easy access to Davith. It would have forced him to use 3 movement points to reach Davith, leaving him with not enough to reach the objective if he needed two attacks to kill Davith.

Also, it was covered when it happened, but your sab against 3P0 was focused, and you scooped up lethal damage.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, you had 31 points at the end of the game and he had 30. He had 28 points from kills and two points from Diplomatic Mission (first two rounds, he shot with Gideon the 3rd), while you had 21 points from kills and 10 points from objectives. It seems you may have forgotten the 1 point from On a Diplomatic Mission when killing Gideon.

Yeah I was thinking that there has to be something I could have done differently but I couldn't see it at the time. I know I missed the focus, just a brain fart I guess.

As for the scoring, it's easy to miss stuff especially with these new "counts as having" VPs. I'll be sure to pay attention next time.

I don't really mind either way. Good learning opportunities and I already won a Regionals two months ago so I didn't care about this result other than getting some more dice =P

There's a video of the Vic. Regionals up on YouTube. I'm pretty sure that was Luke playing in the first game (with the Jedi Luke, Obi-Wan, Davith, etc. list), and I saw Mia in the video in-between skirmishes so I'm under the impression that it was her playing in a recorded match too.

As someone very new to IA, Luke's battle report videos have been great in helping me gain a better understanding of the game.

Yeah Luke is the first game in the stream I linked in the original post.

Mia wasn't on stream that day.

Goes to show how little I follow in my own community. I don't watch battle reports or listen to podcasts so I didn't even know Luke made videos. They look great though.

Like I mentioned above. He lives on the exact opposite of the city so I rarely see him.

We also have a few Lukes and a whole bunch of guys with their own painting groups so it's easy to get confused lol.

and plus when you talk about Luke, the miniature it can get confusing

I wish luke would make a short, funny, well edited, how to play IA skirmish video! Then we could all use it to sucker, I mean ensnare, new people into the game easier

But seriously, there needs to be a short introduction video to this game we can just link to friends to get them excited to check it out in person and up to speed really fast.

And Luke could be awesome at it!
