Of course you're right. I believe there's a good list for almost every objective.
Challenge for another thread: A list that would include Fleet Ambush. Not one that would be fine playing it, but one that would rather play second player Fleet Ambush than any other yellow.

Closest I've gotten: I Spynetsed in FA for a CC game, and was ecstatic that my opponent went for it.
I had Mothma, 4 MC30's, an EF Pelta, and 2 (3?) GR-75's against a Christmas Tree ISD2, a pair of kittens, a raider, and a Gozanti with enough Firesprays to out-deploy me. FA gave me deployment advantage, and let me honeydick the ISD into deploying forward by dangling Lando's MC30 in range. I then stuffed all three of the other shrimp right in front of it.
He blew all of the Firespray attacks and his ISD2 front arc shot to take down Lando, then trundled up into double arcs of all three shrimp. Traded Lando for a pimped out ISD2 that day.

Another thread? What other thread?
Also:
I did with my 5 Vics + Motti, back in Wave 2 Regional Days.
It was
hilariawesome
.
Yeah, sure, you get to place your ISD at medium/Long range and have first player activation.... But its not killing 2 Victories, even with Gunnery Teams... And I've got 5....
After playing against Craigmonition last night I'm adding Nav haZ to the list of obj I don't want to build a list around.

Navigational hazards is tough if you have a list of anything other then small based ships. It is a blast to play and I think you have to spam navigation commands to give yourself flexibility. The one time I played was the only time I have ever dropped to speed 0 in a game.

Played it for a test as a two AF, two CR list versus a six small base fleet. It's so hard to get those things successfully in front of almost anything that can move.
Of course, we realized afterwards that like minefields (and those other obj I dislike) it can funnel fleets but do you want to funnel the first player into you so you can square off with him/her shooting first?

If you can time it so that they have to move into range first, then you are technically shooting first, as you will get to fire a round before they do. That's obviously a big IF that a decent opponent will work to avoid when possible though.
