Intensify Forward Firepower XXVII: The Chitty Flute

By WWPDSteven, in Star Wars: Armada

Yay! A new one!

Does that segue into an oboe around 2:25?

What the hell did i just spend 6 minutes of my life listening to?

I couldn't get past the first minute of that. If you guys didn't bring us all a great podcast for our listening pleasure I think I would have to put a curse on your house for subjecting me to that.

Looking forward to my drive to and from work the next couple of days tho. Yay new podcast!

Thank ... You? Mustard sleeve?

I was most displeased to see IFF stalwarts have such a rough time in the Boston Regionals. You guys had an interesting pair of no squadrons list, but in my local meta, you need 60 points of squadrons or your fleet is space garbage. Wave one meta is dead and gone.

Interesting Podcast.....I started at the very first cast, as I am new to the game. It was well done and it reinforced how the game works and is quite helpful. I'll try to work up to the current one in the coming weeks.

Cheers!

McSushi! I remember it well. It was quite a musical commercial if I recall. I think the high pitched, low quality "McSushi!!!!" was a dead give-away that it was fake. :D

Thank you Sirs!

Fun fact time:

When I was a youth, my father worked for a supplier for McDonalds, specifically their grills and ovens. Growing up, we got to experience Mc Pizza even though it was never sold locally. Also, we got the leftover test fired burgers. Lots and lots of test burgers...

Prior to this job, we rarely ate at McD's. We were relatively broke growing up and eating out was a treat.

Cordell had 1 lambda and 1 Lambda ace.

the new objectives counter the "my list is so good, you will just never engage and we will settle for the split" you have to build for it but looking at new objectives, I kind of want to go back to my double ISD list from wave 2/3

Does anyone in the Norheast remember McLobster?

Or, more appropriately, McLobstah ?

never forget

IIRC it was the proper hawt lobstah with melted buttah none of this cold lobstah with mayo crap

Cold Lobster with Mayo? Wth? Sacrilege!

that's how they do it in Boston.... it is wrong. very very wrong.

It's a lobstah salad roll not a lobstah roll

you can move upgrades. In fact you can set them to the side and not use them.

Shittyflute!

Good stuff. The baby pickle line had me in tears.

hahaha that Walken Vader impression. So good!

I finally made it to the episode. Loved it! You guys must seriously just have the ball doing these things.

I was planning on heading up to Connecticut, but there's a store tournament the same day a little closer in Philly. Definitely am trying to make it to Maryland as well.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but since I got blown out so hard at regionals last year, I think I'm going to take a fleet that's purposely built to just survive. I want that 6-5 or otherwise tight loss. Right now, my fleet has a interdoctor set up in it. And I'm definitely looking for manageable scenarios to choose.

Give these a thought: station assault, contested outpost, salvage run.

Grav shift reroute works well in putting the stations in the first two solidly in your control. In salvage run, you can move the dust clouds to either side of the tokens to prevent sideshots or in front to prevent frontal shots.

G7 grav well projector also prevents enemy ships from deploying in front of the objective token areas in salvage run.

why not just intel sweep with relay. salvage run feels like a gambit and IIRC you dont move terrain until after obejctive tokens set so you can possibly still split the scenario.

I was saving this to pair with a painting session but life has been too hectic so I finally said f--- it and listened to the first half commuting to work this morning.

1. Thanks for the shoutout, made my morning.

2. Dan came pretty close to the actual pronunciation

3. It really does mean Mad Dog. Don't get drunk and let your friends name the warcraft toons you are about to play for 8 straight years. You never know what might wind up being your online handle.

4. I always push this cast anyway, but I'm hardcore blasting my friends who are about to start the campaign with me tonight to listen to this one. Great segment on the campaign.

5. **** DT, rough first draw in the regionals. I mean, yes Paul is an awesome person but he's also awesome at this game and a 5-6 is against him when you are out of practice is really pretty amazing. Moral victory?

More thoughts I'm sure when I get the chance to finish up. Still in the middle of Judd's regional experience.
