What are your thoughts on this class deck? I have played the core campagne twice. Once as the imperial with Military might and once as the rebels with the imperial player as subversive tactics. I like both decks alot and now I am thinking about starting a Twin Shadows campagne. The Black ops deck seem really nice and we have not used the Hide condition before so seems like a fresh breath of air. The starting ability of making any imperial hidden seems really nice and paired with Execution squad squad, it just seems like mayhem.
Imperial Black ops
It depends on the campaign if Hidden is of much use for defense on its own. It is still very good for offense if you manage to keep the figures alive long enough.
With Versatility you can exchange Hidden for Focused once per activation, making it much more powerful - if you can plan well enough and keep the figures on the board, you can have them perform attacks with both Focused and Hidden.
Also, Strategic Redeployment is very nice to spend excess surges..
I used Imperial Black Ops in this extended minicampaign: https://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1507945/rise-and-fall-twin-shadows-swia024-finished-201607
Hidden isn't a great condition. In a few campaigns we've had it help defensively once. Offensively the extra surge can be very helpful on a few units like Wampas, Heavy Storm Troopers, rNexu, and AT-STs, and against a white die it can often help even troopers, although against a black die troopers often find the extra surge wasted.
The big card in the deck is probably Strategic Redeployment. A hidden probe droid has a good chance of being able to put a 3 or 4 cost figure on the board every turn which really adds up. A hidden Jawa with their 2 yellow will also be a good one when they get released.
This deck is also a good choice if the rebels have gone double melee (imperial chooses class deck after rebels choose heroes, but i would only do that if the atmosphere is more competitive than casual).
But yeah, I agree with the comments above.
I used it in a hoth campaign because hidden wampas are awesome ![]()
It can be a very complex deck with a lot of interactions and moving parts. Hidden is also very similar to the white die defensively in that it either feels useless or over powered depending on the dice roll. Offensively it's pretty balanced but favors some units over others like ISB infiltrators.

Yeah, just finished Hoth, as the Imperial player. The rebels hated Strategic Redeployment. Every Probe Droid was the primary target, sometimes not attacking troopers until the Probe was dead. They thought Versatility (another great card) was over-powered.
Edited by juice manSeems like a probe droid can, without too much effort, deploy either another probe droid or hired guns/jet troopers once every round. That is pretty good.
Note that only figures can be deployed or reinforced. You can't deploy a multi-figure group with Strategic Redeployment.
Ooohh, crap
